This is my newest work. It’s my best work that I’ve put out, musically. I always say that when I have something new, but it’s always true. Not only do I feel that way, but the people that listen do as well.
I’ve put a lot of time and work into this. I purchased all the beats (some are leased cause some producers think I’m Drake), I re-recorded, consulted with people, changed hooks, pretty much tried my hardest to make these 7 songs the most perfect version of themselves. This is what I came up with. In a world where it’s all digital, it’s hard to believe some of the excuses mid 20-year-olds give. “I don’t get paid till next week. I just paid all my bills. I didn’t know you had this up.” All I can think of is, “Damn, you can’t gamble 10 bucks on something you might really like? And if you absolutely hate it, does 10 bucks really affect your bank account like that?”
As I mentioned, I’m not Drake, but even he was where I am now at a point during his now successful career. He was the same Drake then, just less people gave him a chance.
I only ask that you give this a chance. Listen with an open mind. It’s not what the radio wants. It’s not what you’ll hear in the club, but it’s something to vibe with. This is the iTunes link, but if you search “Astray While on Track” on any place that you buy your music, you will find it.
I have no real expectations with this EP. By that I mean, I don’t think this will be the EP that sky rockets my career. Or that I’ll sell thousands of dollars worth of it. I told myself that from the start. It might even be my last piece of work I put together, depending on the success of it, but I am going to try and “promote” it as best I can.
