I do not know if what I had read is true but I understood that the shape of a namaari earring was taken from the earrings of nobles or warriors in certain cultures of Southeast Asia. This would need to be verified but I really like this theory. Which would mean that the earring of namarie would show her status as a noble and truly heir to the throne and at the same time show the fact that she is a warrior. unlike Virana who has an earring that really represents Fang and this could show the devotion she really has for her people. I plan to write a fanfic, try short to really explain all this and how it was done with really all the symbolism of the earrings and how it can tell the story of the characters but also the context in which they grew up and began to forge them and why Nur which means light (in a lot of Southeast Asian countries, notably through an Arab-Muslim influence) has chili peppers but long which means dragon (in Vietnamese) has a dragon.
