You're a nurse -- do you ever help deliver babies? (Have you ever witnessed obstetric violence? ** I realize that escalated quickly)
I do not! I work in a cardiovascular ICU so I once saw a surgeon remove an ECMO cannulation from a literal heart and hold pressure while his assistant frantically sutured, but no babies.
(The baby part not the heart part - that’s a true story.)

Her response was “what do you want me to do I don’t even have kids?!?”
Anyway baby and mother were both fine!!! The OB came (eventually) and we called the L&D nurses to... do that thing. With the fundus? Where you push on it? I SAID I DO CVICU OKAY
So anyway there’s my one and only baby delivery story.
And I’ve never seen any obstetric violence, but nurses are assaulted at nearly the same rate as police officers, so...
