Nussecken (German Nut Corners)
Here comes the much requested NUSSECKEN/nut triangle recipe! (Why make it easy on all of us by just writing it down when I can also put it in tedious comic form, there'd be no fun in it, right??)
My Patreon supporters get some extra tipps and sidenotes.šBut trust me, it's way less complicated than it may look.
IMPORTANT: Don't make the mistake of thinking you need a holiday to justify making/eating cookies. Try these, really. You can thank me later. š (Consider it my holiday gift to you ;P)

Story
My mother used to bake āNut cornersā when I was a kid, either together with me or as a treat when I came home from school. They remind me of my childhood. Now I am using the family recipe and doing the same with my son, 11 years of age and also a ānut corners fanatic!
Ingredients
For the base dough you need:
300g. flour
150g. of Sugar
20g. of Vanilla sugar
1 teaspoon of baking powder
130g. of soft Butter (i.e. Dairygold)
1 egg
For the top part of the dough you need:
200g. of Sugar
20g. of Vanilla sugar
200g. of soft butter (i.e. Dairygold)
A few teaspoons of water
200g. of crushed walnuts
200g. of chopped almonds
Place this top part of the dough on the base one
Method
Mix all ingredients together and roll them out onto a baking tray. Add a few tablespoons of apricot marmalade on the dough and spread it equally. Bake the entire mix in the oven at 200 degrees for 25 minutes and let it cool down afterward. Cut the baked plate into corners. Melt chocolate and decorate the corners with this chocolate. Let them cool down again, sit down and enjoy.
