nani and lilo were so important to me as a kid because it was hard finding characters, especially disney characters, that looked like me. like elsa having a lone bitch vibe is not the epitome of feminism. nani raising her sister and putting lilo and encouraging lilo before anything else is what it should be about.

I think many straight people don't understand that they don't have a position in this community. Yes, we preach inclusivity but for minorities that are normally left out. You can be proud of being straight, there is nothing wrong with that. But please try to respect a symbol that represents overcoming years of oppression and pain. Please let us have something, these flags, as a sense of solidarity and common goals. There is no straight flag because you don't need it to show that you belong.

It's about the reason for the flag not the existence. There aren't flag limits but if there was a straight flag it would undermine the whole reason for LGBTQ+ flags. We need them as symbols for our common struggle. It will never be about straight people. You do not get to decide what is right and wrong in this community because you don't belong to it. Maybe you don't understand but I ask you to respect our existence and to not attack us. We only wish to live harmoniously.

Being straight is important. All identities are important. But for me and many other people our flags remind me that I am not alone. It's not like I'm ignoring the majority. For most of my life I thought I was the majority. I understand how you feel because I had the mindset you have. But the balance you seek is not true balance. True balance operates differently than everyone getting the same thing. It's advantaging the disadvantaged and humbling the advantage until the playing field is equal.

OK hello. You and I seem to be on the same boat for this. People are failing to realize that YouTube is a business, and we are the consumers. As far as YouTube goes, a book and tour deal is a pretty safe and smart way to make money when you work in a fairly insecure job environment (YouTube). Honestly I think they're being business savvy and while the move may be predictable and slightly annoying, it really is a good move, and people really don't understand that.
