NVA Challenge Day 15

N: walk V: to travel A: sunny N: راه رفتن V: سفر کردن A: آفتابی N: rāh raftan (technically this is a verb but I think it can be used as a noun?) V: safar kardan A: āftābi When I travel, I like walking in the city, especially when it is sunny. وقتی سفر می کنم، راه رفتن در شهر خیلی دوست دارم مخسوصا وقتی هوا آفتابیه (vaghti safar mi konam, rāh raftan dar shahr kheyli doost dāram, makhsusan vaghti havā āftābiye) please add corrections or suggestions! Especially for this one, I'm never sure if I use infinitives right

Hoje é um día ensolarado, vamos fazer uma caminhada e viajar até a casa da avó por umas tangerinas.

16. finish line: linha de chegada - to reach: alcançar - satisfying: gratificante

Corri uma maratona, alcançar a linha de chegada foi muito gratificante.

17. bell: sineta - to ring: tocar - surprise: surpresa

Meu tio tocou a sineta muito forte, fiquei surpresa.

18. dapple: mancha - to rot: apodrecer - upsetting: irritante

Meu bolo tem manchas porque começou apodrecer, é muito irritante.

My parents painted my walls when I was a child. دیوار ها در اتاق خوابم آبی هستند چون رنگ مورد علاقه ی من بود. وقتی بچه بودم پدر و مادرم برای من دیوار هایم را رنگ کردند (divār hā dar otāghe khābam ābi hastand chon rang-e mored-e alāghe-ye man bood. vagthi bache boodam pedar o mādaram barāye man divār hāyam rā rang kardand.) please add corrections or suggestions!

Day 3: sculpture - to carve - red

sculpture: escultura; to carve: esculpir; red: vermelho

Para a próxima aula a gente esculpirá em sabonete uma escultura de um besouro vermelho.

Day 4: landfill - to recycle - useful

landfill: aterro; to recycle: reciclar; useful: útil

Precious Plastic desenvolve máquinas para reciclar plástico e transformá-lo em coisas úteis que não acabem no aterro.

Day 5: soda - to drink - fizzy

soda: refrigerante; to drink: beber; fizzy: espumante

Meu refrigerante favorito é Jarritos de tamarindo, não é muito espumante depois de um tempo, mas eu não bebo muito refrigerante porque tem muita açúcar.
