so this is an AU crossover thing xD ... this present is for my girl xD (and it was a bugger to figure out how to come up with it ... until I figured out the idea) ... an explanation about the timeframe for the Oncer's reading - the curse didn't break completely, only those who remembered/realized who they were are free from the curse (basically they all have to figure out who they were on their own, like Graham did) ... Rumpel never forgot so he's free, and he helped Belle so she's free ... anyways, hope you enjoy!! (there will be more to this drabble idea too xD
Mr. Gold barely glanced up from rearranging the display in his shop when he heard the bell ring. “I'll be with you in a moment.” He finished setting things up and turned to the teenager who had walked in. “Yes, how can I help you today, young man?” The boy jumped and turned to look at him from where he had been looking at a simple bracelet that had been the first thing he had made from the gold he spun in his other life. He had made the bracelet for Bae. Because he wanted to give his son something that would mean something. Mr. Gold walked out from around the counter and over to the boy, seeing the boy's interest in the bracelet again. “That's not for sale. But anything else I can help you with?”
The boy frowned slightly and turned to look up at him. “I was looking for a present, for my girlfriend. I don't know what to get her.”
Mr. Gold was struck by how much this boy looked like his son, the same eyes. His heart flipped for a moment, getting overly excited before realizing it wasn't likely to be his son. Probably just another annoying little princely brat. Possibly some relation of Regina's even. He frowned to just think of it. He shook his head and shrugged. “I don't know your lady, so I'm not sure what to suggest. What does she like? Figure that out and you're close to finding a perfect present.” The bell over the door rang again and Mr. Gold spoke before he even turned to the door. “Well, aren't I the popular one today? What can I do-” He stopped mid-sentence as he turned and saw that it was Belle and smiled. “Belle, I didn't know you were visiting.”
Belle smiled and walked farther in to the shop, sitting down the small basket she carried on the counter. “Of course I came to visit. I know what today is so I thought I would help keep you company during lunch.” Her words brought the fact he had been trying to push away all morning back to the front of his mind. Today was Bae's birthday. Even though he had lost him, every year he would still remember his birthday. In the past he had spent the day getting drunk at home alone, but this year he had Belle. The gentle touch of her hand on his arm made him jump slightly before smiling at her. “Now, I packed the perfect birthday picnic for us, including some of Granny's special pie.” She seemed to just notice the teenager and smiled softly at the boy. “Oh, I didn't see you there, Dwight! I'll let you two finish and then we can have this birthday meal.” She turned back to Mr. Gold with a sad smile. “I fixed an extra plate. For Bae, on his birthday.”
The teenager (who Belle had called Dwight) sniffled slightly. It was almost too soft for Mr. Gold to notice, but Belle frowned and walked over to the boy. “What's wrong, Dwight?”
Dwight just shook his head. “It's my birthday today.” He shrugged his shoulders before turning to Mr. Gold. “I'll leave you to your lunch and come back later for the gift. Bye, Miss French.” He turned and left the shop with a small smile, leaving Mr. Gold confused.
“Who is that boy?”
Belle just shrugged as she started to unload the basket. “His name is Dwight and he helps out at the library some on the weekends with his girlfriend. They're both sweet kids. He doesn't talk much about himself. All I know is that he grew up under the care of the nuns and has recently been trying to move out on his own. I didn't know his birthday was today though.”
Mr. Gold stared at the door while thinking. This boy who looks like Bae, who was raised by nuns, and who even has the same eyes. “It can't be.” He didn't even realize he had spoken out loud until Belle grabbed his hand with wide eyes.
Who actually started a kinda series because the end kinda leads to a prequel. Yes, PREquel. Anyways, enjoy :D
Nadine & Dwight at Reed and Shane's wedding
They arrived at the wedding much earlier than everyone else. Dwight was already running around, drawing salt lines everywhere while Nay was trying to calm down a nervous Reed.
“Please tell me, I'm not making a mistake! He's not here yet. What if he doesn't get here? What if he's going to just stand me up? What if something happened to him? Oh my... What if-?”
“Hold it there, Reed. I'm sure everything will be fine. Nothing's going to keep you from marrying the man you love and trust me, he loves you just as much.”, the blonde woman said.
Reed bit his lip. “Are you sure?”
“Yes”, she nodded. “A hundred percent. That man is head over heels in love with you.”
The man smiled softly, still nervous.
“I'm sorry to interrupt but did you already check the church?”, Dwight's voice trailed through the parking lot.
“Yes, Dwight! Everything's fine in there.”, Nay yelled back.
“Do you still have some rock salt for me though? I don't think I have enough.”, the man responded.
The blonde smiled apologetic to Reed and mouthed “I'll be right back.” The groom just smiled brightly and nodded.
He watched the two of them interact in their own little world. He was actually surprised that they weren't married yet but if tonight would go the way he planned, they would hopefully change that soon. Reed smirked to himself and Kurt and him would do all the wedding planning, so much was sure already since the two were too busy hunting supernatural things all the time. The man was surprised though, how Dwight and Nay could run around in evening outfits but still carry so much around like salt, holy water and who knows what else they're hiding.
The wedding was a blast. Of course everyone had to run through a holy water test by Dwight and Nay first before they were allowed on the grounds but the ceremony itself was wonderful and exactly how Reed had imagined it to be.
But now the most important moment was here: The throwing of the flowers.
Reed had turned his back to the ladies and threw the flowers, crossing his fingers in his mind and hoping that it would turn out they way he wanted. Once he heard a surprised squeak, he smirked and turned around, looking as innocent as always with huge eyes.
There she was, Nay who was sitting away from the excitement at a table with Dwight and the flowers in her lap. Both looked confused.
Reed silently highfived himself and walked over to them, grinning, “Now if that's not a pleasant surprise. You caught them, my dear Nay. You do realize what that means, right?”
The blonde woman just blushed slightly, “But, how? I wasn't even standing over there?”
“Shush, you caught them, the rest doesn't matter. You two are next.”
With that, he turned around and went back to his newly-husband. No one had to know that he talked to the ladies beforehand to make sure that Nay would get them.
Nay still blinked and looked at the flowers, then looked up to Dwight who just smirked at her.
“Well, my dear huntress. Don't you think it's time?”
The blonde just whispered to him. “But how can we tell them now that we already are married? Reed and Kurt will kill us! And yes, I'm even more scared of them than I could ever be of any demon.”
Dwight just chuckled. “Well then, I guess we have to do the whole procedure again.” He took her hand and placed a kiss on her hand, “And this time we'll do it the right way.”
