HECTIC past few days filled with mundane annoyance in form of deciding courses to take and what he personally wished to gain from each, not expecting any great result but he’s vowed to try at the very least for entirely selfish purpose, yet he was steadfast in pretending whispering desperation hadn’t made nest somewhere between ribs, a poking reminder when he twisted the wrong way, when he merely breathed these days. He can’t quite decide whether finding himself in this environment was any easier -- disregarding people because screw all of them -- but worry was left untouched in order to focus on the practicality of need, what’d he’d chosen to pursue.
BUT this whole predicament was grating on nerves in more ways than one, boredom had not eased but instead been layered with utter disdain, and he’s trying not to pay mind to the glaringly obvious conclusion he should of come to before agreeing this was any good direction to take; cons far outweighed whatever pros he could scrape up. Too late for that now. He’s not a quitter either, damned if he doesn’t try to see this through now that he’s started.
MIND ruled by thoughts pertaining mainly to this all and the slow dawning understanding he can’t find escape in the form of work, of any nature beside updating blog, which brought Kyein leaning into the next best option even on the risk of having to fend off potential overly curious entities, pulling out the heavy system camera he’s had for a few years instead of the newer one generally carried with him for the unplanned shots. He wouldn’t go as far as to label it therapeutic but photographing calmed him in different way than a few things ever could these days, understanding the working of mechanics and how to adjust settings, capturing small moments of appreciation, hobby far more enjoyable and stress free compared to any physical kind, not to mention usually having to deal with no people.
MINDLESSLY wandering for minutes steps led him eventually outside, small gratitude felt for lack of too many mutants loitering about as it was well into the evening already, sun well in the way of disappearing below horizon but casting yet rays of warmth upon the scenery. He much preferred if it’d been down already, but the view accentuated by shadows cast on the ground and corners of structures were appealing in contrast, so he couldn’t complain too much, and it doesn’t take long before he’s lost in the frame of mind adopted for acquiring a shot deemed quality enough he might post online after a slight re-touch, or none at all.
