`— make a day feel like a minute / jisoo and jin goo
They recognize him as the guy from the pictures. And Jisoo swears that this time, this time he’s genuinely gone and outdone himself.
What started out as a typical night on the town led up to nothing but trouble for the young soldier. He just really wants to pretend that this isn’t happening, that he’s not being cornered by a pack of surly-looking fellows in the back alley of his go-to nightclub. There’s the thought of playing dumb and saying what they want to hear, doing what they wanted him to do, perhaps then they’ll let him off without a hitch.
But when they tell you ignorance is bliss, it’s all a massive lie. Ignorance is what leads him to get really, really friendly with the girlfriend of the good ol’ neighborhood gangster. It fools him into thinking that maybe, just maybe things are actually starting to look up for him, that his massive stroke of bad luck’s finally got a grip on itself and stopped behaving like a clingy ex-girlfriend. But it’s that ignorance that gets him so sorely mistaken that he’s dragged out of the nightclub like a deer in headlights.
So much for enjoying the nightlife. Jisoo can’t make sense of it at first, these past few nights he’d been nothing but a good boy, no drunken brawls, no unpaid drinks, no unhappy ladies. They pull out the pictures and suddenly it all starts making sense.
A man out of time really is a man out of luck.
“It was only a kiss,” He tells them, what he doesn’t is that it was a really long kiss, long enough to figure out it wasn’t all that one-sided too. Just how did it end up like this? “How the fuck was I supposed to know she had a boyfriend?” Jisoo’s really been hung out to dry by the crabby bastards, there’s a bunch blocking his only means of exit and he’s got a pair securing his sides, occasionally dealing a cheeky blow to the shin or the back of the head in the moments where he least expects it.
Jisoo chokes back a weary groan, if he knew this was going to happen he should have gone all the way last night, he should have gone all the way and lived his life without any regrets.
