                   jason stops, turns on his heels, and gives artemis a LOOK.

                   a look that fell somewhere between goddamnit, i KNEW this                   was going to happen, and also, are you kidding me. but she                   was still armed with a bow and arrow, and as good as his, ah,                   fighting skills were--he doubts he’d walk away from a fight with                   her in one piece.

                   maybe, like... seven pieces? ouch.

                   so he keeps the sass to a minimum. glancing down at her                   twisted ankle as if it’s PERSONALLY offended him, jason                   stoops down to examine it; swollen, bleeding, puffed up.

                   gross. he doubts she’ll be walking much further with that,                   and it’s KIND OF his fault they’re still out looking for the guy                   stealing from the freakin’ charity store down below.

                   so, jason does the LOGICAL thing (or as logical as it seems                   to him for the time being), and picks her up. glaring against                   any of her protests.
