THE BIOGRAPHY
Logan Walsh was born and raised in Dublin, Ireland after her mother got pregnant by an American businessman, who cheated with her on his wife. After her mother died when she was 10 she went to live with her biological father in the States.
Her father already had a child with his wife, a boy named Richard, who Logan got on well from the very start.
Her father’s wife hated her, since Logan represented her husband’s infidelity, so she treated her poorly growing up. She was sent to boarding school at a young age so her step mother didn’t have to see her anymore.
Logan always had a knack for science and technology so after finished boarding school, she went to study computer science and biology.
After her father’s death when she was 25, Richard was supposed to take over the company but he was far too deep into drugs and alcohol to take over, so the board chose Logan to take over. About 4 years ago she opened another branch of the company in Manhattan and has been living there ever since.
As a CEO she had very little time. She has a few friends that she sees every now and then but for the most part she keeps to herself. To unwind she can be often found in bars, looking for casual hookups to release some stress every now and again. If you’d ask her, she would say that she doesn’t have time for a relationship since she’s married to her work.
She tries to treat her employees right, since she knows that the company would be nothing without them.
She might seem cold and standoffish but that is only the armour that she wears in a business environment since she wouldn’t be taken seriously otherwise.
She enjoys a good book and a glass of scotch in her downtime, though she’s careful around alcohol given her family’s history with the substance.

Romy comes from a humble background. The Leungs had the necessities but nothing more, and her single mother worked herself to the bone to provide for her children. Still, it was a loving home, and she encouraged her three children to follow their passions.
For Romy, that was always film. Beginning with her family’s twice monthly trips to the theater, she knew she wanted to make movies. A second hand super 8 camera became her most prized possession.

(tw: PTSD) Her teenage years were hell for Romy. The combination of her untreated PTSD from the car accident, combined with her already fraught relationship with her aunt and uncle was a bad combination. After she went to college, she never spoke to them again.
She began her career as a photographer (which shows in her later work) and also occasionally made experimental short films. Romy’s feature debut was a self-financed microbudget film that won the Grand Jury Prize at Sundance.
Her second and third films were small (1-10 mil range) arthouse indies that were critically acclaimed and established Cosima as a distinctive and important new director.
In 2016 or 2017, she created a popular high concept prestige scifi drama. It’s one of those shows that has a big fan base and there’s always thinkpieces/theories/analysis of it. The second season premieres this year.
Her fourth movie was released last year. While it had a lot in common with her previous work, it ended up being a genuine horror hit. The mainstream attention also lead to awards love - it was nominated for several oscars and won two or three, including best original screenplay for Romy.
In related news, she’s a workaholic. Just absolutely loves her job, but also doesn’t know how to stop and hates boredom. And she just doesn’t know how to relax properly.
Very determined and perfectionistic. She’ll get what she wants and she’ll get it done right if it kills her. Romy has high standards which she expects the people she works with to meet, although she’s usually more critical of herself than anyone else. (As you can expect, she exerts a lot of control over her productions, having acted as writer, director, producer, and cinematographer on all of her movies.)

jude was born in syracuse, to an old money sort of family that has been in the city for nearly a century. jude grew up with a very luxurious life, spending winter vacations in aspen and his summers in greece, dressed only in designer clothes and eating the best food his parents’ money could buy.
still, jude was never really one to care for material things. as a child he would cake his hundred-dollars worth denims in dirt, forget his toys so he could spend time in his grandfather’s gigantic library, and be much more excited about the newest star trek than lavish parties in jackson hole.
despite his looks and wealth, jude always felt like an outsider. he didn’t have a lot of friends, and the other kids in his school and social circles always made fun of him. over time, jude became withdrawn, insecure in his own bright intellect and his odd hobbies. even as an adult, jude can still be very insecure with the things he likes, and often will stop himself when he starts ranting about the things that interest him.
when he was twenty, jude moved to the big apple. he was accepted into nyu for their archaeology & paleontology program, which was his biggest passion; uncovering the past ( and dinosaurs ! ) was immensely interesting to him, and the idea of thousands of years of history hidden under dirt was very compelling to the curious young man.
his family, however, could not understand jude’s interests. he was supposed to become a doctor like his parents were, and the fact that their eldest child would not uphold the family tradition was more than enough reason for them to shun him away: the reddington’s stopped calling, and then they stopped with the e-mail blasts, and eventually jude wasn’t even invited for thanksgiving anymore. it was an incredibly hurtful process that led to deep abandonment issues and even bigger insecurities to the man, but jude pretended to be alright, shrugging the pain off and ignoring it.
after graduation, jude was a little lost. he worked at excavation sites all across the globe, wrote several papers on his findings, but none of it was note-worthy, and without the money from his parents, it was hard for him to maintain even the simpler life style. at the same time, an opportunity to teach the subject he was so passionate about popped up at the same university he had graduated from, and even though jude is far too shy to be a good educator, he jumped at the chance.
jude isn’t... the best teacher in the world. he’s too shy to be a proper educator, and he doesn’t even like his job, but it pays the bills and it’s all he could ask for.

okay i’ll try to keep this short and sweet. gemma was born in the us but her parents actually moved to france when she was an itty bitty baby for research reasons and she spent most of her childhood there.
she, her parents, and her little brother moved back to the states when she was seventeen and that adjustment was really difficult. she’d had to leave everything she’d ever known. her dad was sympathetic and tried to make it up to her, but her mother (as per usual) was very uncaring about it.
she did well in school and went to college right away for fashion design; she’d made her own clothes for years by that point and getting in wasn’t a problem. she graduated at the top of her class and went right on to business school.
she did a handful of internships and managed to make enough acquaintances that she was able to get a job right out of school at a higher end wedding boutique. she spent the following five years saving up money, freelancing, tailoring, and working. she made friends with the right people and kept her credit up and when she was 27 she was able to open up a shop of her own.
solis is located in queens (more specifics about location and design coming soon) not far from her little studio apartment. she sells independent and women-owned labels as well as some of her own designs and miscellaneous objects from notebooks and planners to candles and dining ware.
it’s been going pretty good, but like with all new businesses she’s really living on a very strict budget personally. she pays her one employee well above minimum wage and in general she’s trying to be an ethical business owner and member of her community!
personality-wise she’s quite friendly but can be very introverted at times. she’s slow to make friends but when she makes them they’re in her circle forever and she’s available to them at any hour of the day. (plus she makes her friends clothes if she sees a fabric that sticks out to her so let’s hear it for the best dressed squad in new york).
she speaks fluent french and english; her accent is slightly noticeable but it’s generally pretty muted down unless she’s particularly passionate during a conversation.
she loves cooking and baking and if she’s expecting visitors there will always be food in the oven for them.

The Rossignols [pronunciation] are extremely, obscenely rich, and have been for a very long time. Nicolas’ Swiss father Sébastien is the chairman and CEO of the family’s empire — one of the world’s largest privately held companies— and his American mother Claudia (née Pike) comes from old money (think the Vanderbilts or Rockefellers) as well.
His parents had a turbulent relationship, playing a happy couple when needed but openly contemptuous and unfaithful behind closed doors. Their children, meanwhile, didn’t see much of them. When Nic and his siblings weren’t off at boarding school in Switzerland, they stayed in a separate wing of the family’s (many) residences.
Sébastien, in particular, saw his children only as pawns. From the beginning, they were simply informed of what their fates as the scions of the Rossignol dynasty would be and expected to comply. Claudia (the ne plus ultra of socialtes), though less outwardly less unkind, was hardly better. Among his siblings, Nic was always the black sheep, the favorite of neither his father nor his mother, the forgotten middle child pushed aside in favor of the others.
Around the time he turned eighteen, Nic had an epiphany: he didn’t have to be part of any of it.He didn’t want to be shackled to the company in a job he didn’t really earn, spend the rest of his life competing with his siblings over who would succeed their father, or remain enmeshed in his family’s toxicity. So he walked away.
Eventually deciding to go to medical school, he became interested in neurology and surgery during the rotations in his third and fourth year. Now, he’s a neurosurgeon at Weill Cornell. His work is immensely rewarding to him.
He’s a pretty quiet guy, seems sort of unassuming at first glance, and while he’s friendly, also not the easiest person to get to know.
Underneath it all, he has a steel backbone. He knows who he is and what’s important to him.
Nic’s relationship with his family is close to nonexistent. There’s no animosity on his part, but he just doesn’t care to have a relationship with most of them. He’s married now, with three children, and wants his kids to have a very different upbringing than he did.

it’s pretty cliche actually, his parents weren’t really around so he rebelled in his teens and all that
but he cleaned up in his early twenties and got married like at 20 and became a proper husband and worked for his father after college and began to live a pretty mundane life (if earning millions at like 22 is mundane than sure)
about a year ago his father died and theo inherited the hotel business. this loss was pretty hard cause theo got super close to his dad because they worked so closely together
theo began to drink pretty heavily and was forced to work all the time since he is ceo now
though he still loves his wife madly, he barely sees her and has even begun cheating on her which makes him to hate himself which causes him to drink more, it’s a vicious cycle
as for personality, he is a really serious but super friendly guy. he is very passionate and compassionate
