Mayor de Blasio, CANCEL July 4th Fireworks
Mayor Bill de Blasio, after three weeks of illegal fireworks going off each night, we, the residents of NYC, are tired of fireworks, even if it's commissioned by Macy's and will be safer. We really don't need yet 5 more nights of not knowing when the fireworks will end.
Some NYC residents have suffered from sleep deprivation and traumatic experiences and the fact that the city is planning a week-long celebration is really a failure to read the room.
We are tired of hearing fireworks going off. There's a record-high number of complaints according to the NYC 311 database. We need relief. Please, just stop this display just for this year until you can get control over the current situation.
