As much as we all love the current residents of New York City, we can’t but wonder what the future might hold as well. This upcoming week we’ll get the chance to explore that side of things with Second Generation Week. From creating their background, to expanding on their lives now, we are going to bring to life that future from the point of view of your character’s child. For better or worse the parents have led very interesting lives, and now we’re going to take a peek at what things look like for the next generation.
The event will run from October 1st to October 12th.
RULES: ( please like when read )
No more than two playable kids per couple. As exciting as it may be to have three or four kids, you will only be allowed to play two. One per person.
We will have an opt-out option for this event, where you don’t have to participate if you don’t want to. Just message the main so we know you’ll be gone for the event. You may also create an OC just for the week with whatever FC you’d like and such.
Also, not all of your characters have to participate. You may choose to play just one or the amount you desire.

“Well look who it is,” Anger dripped from the man’s voice.
Venus didn’t even bother to look at him, it was pigs like him that had her reconsidering going to the party at all. Of course she didn’t actually believe any of them would approach her in a public setting like this.
“I’m talking to you!” The man pressed harder after her through the crowd.
“I’d leave me alone before one of your buddies catches you chasing after me and tells that pretty wife of yours.” Venus hissed over her shoulder, attempting to bee line towards the bar when the man grasped her arm roughly, forcing her around to face him.
Eyes wild, he had a sick grin spread across his face. “You owe me. You owe me big after what I paid you.”
Venus’ heart pound in her chest, no one seemed to notice the subtle panic in her eyes or the obvious aggression in his. “Please let go...” She spoke softly, her eyes searching the crowd for a familiar face.
Attention Citizens of New York City!
While the attention of the city was to plan a carnival that everyone could enjoy, we’ve come to find it didn’t turn out the way people were hoping. What should have been a weekend of ferris wheels, food trucks and fun carnival games quickly came to a fiery end as the exquisite entertainment tent caught ablaze, causing the innocent victims to succumb to a state of panic. Simply enjoying a live performance shouldn’t be threatened by a life-altering situation.
Not only has a fire ruined this beloved carnival but also a food truck explosion, causing more terror to run through our family and friends. A ride has broken down causing civilians to be stranded and we’re getting word that people are stuck in the Maze of Mirrors. It pegs the question, was no one protecting this carnival? Does our city want us to get harmed?
We’ve seen for months now as New York City’s established and acclaimed qualities crumble into something less than satisfying. With crime rising and new gangs establishing their presence daily, it seems as if New York City will never be the same. As of now, there is no suspects in questioning for this act of cruelty. But we do know, is that this act of arson was no mistake. We cannot blame accidental cigarette butts and electrical mishaps. This was done with the intention to harm the innocent citizens of New York. And with no one claiming to have seen anything and our Police Department scrambling for something to say, we have to question: How safe are we really?
OOC INFO: Under the cut, you’ll find a list of scenarios set at the May Fling Carnival after a fire broke out and caused a wave of panic among the attendees. Each group will only interact with characters within their assigned group for the next three (3) days, effective immediately. Take this opportunity to make new connections and threads with your fellow comrades. On June 1st at 10 AM EST, you will once again be able to interact with any and all characters. The event itself ends on May 3rd and we ask to please not make any new event starters beyond this point. However, we do encourage you all to continue and complete the threads you’ve already started. For any questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to message the main.
GREEN GROUP — POLICE QUESTIONING
Police received a tip about a major drug deal about to go down during the carnival and had detained a large group of people just before the fire started. Accompanied by police officers, this group has been given strict orders to stay put and wait for further questioning.

RED GROUP — TENT FIRE

RED GROUP — FOOD TRUCK EXPLOSION
The fire quickly reached the food trucks area and caused an explosion when one of the friers blew up, injuring many nearby people and sending others fleeing from the flames and debris. Is it every man for himself or do you risk it all to help another?
Hey, everybody! We know a lot of people have been busy lately as schools are starting to go back and people have other things going on in real life, so we had a question for you guys! Do you want to extend the event either to the 20th or 24th? Especially as we had said we required at least three prompt threads from each character, we do want to make sure that everyone has time to get those started and have some fun! If you want to extend the event, please like this post and comment if you want it extended to the 20th or the 24th!
Welcome to the grand reopening of Bar None! As most of the city will remember, Brooklyn's favorite bar was burned down in an arsonist attack early in the year, but the owners swore that they would rebuild. This week, they are proving to have made good on that promise! Bar None is back and better than ever, hosting their grand reopening this Wednesday, on June 20th. Food and drinks are half off for the night, so bring family and bring friends - we promise this will be a party to remember!
This mini-event will take place between June 20th and June 24th and is a chance to let your characters relax and have some fun. We promise no disasters this time! On Wednesday we will release a large list of short, one sentence prompts and ask that you choose from the list and use the prompts to start threads with at least three different characters. Last but not least, have fun!
Last night there was an incident that took place at the Christmas Charity Fundraiser. Drinks were spiked, there was some tampering with the air quality and we regret to inform you that there was one casualty last night. The Headmistress has been reported dead but the police are still searching for the body. We have several subjects in questioning and we plan on getting to the bottom of the matter as soon as possible. Be safe citizens and keep alert. If you see something, say something.

below the cut is where you can find the plot drop for the characters that attended the event:
Green:
Harmony and Tristan — Woke up in one half of the pair’s living room. They’re covered in face/body paint, and have stamps on their hands from a club. At least one is cuddling an absolutely giant stuffed animal.
Anthony and Garrison — So they’ve woken up dressed as superheroes, complete with capes and masks. And there might be stories all over social media regarding their apparent “crime” fighting the night before. They also seem to have rescued a cat from a tree and serenaded it. There’s video.
Camila and Mia — From the looks of things, it seems like last night they both decided it was make-over time. They’ve woken up in the same room with their hair dyed and in some particularly elaborate make-up and clothes.
Yellow:
Aiden and Alec — Woke up in central park, both appear to have been in a fight, and they have no idea if they beat each other up, or fought someone else. However, it must have ended well between them, because there appear to be sloppy attempts at patching each other up.
Michael and Kathryn — They’ve woken up in one half of the pair’s home absolutely surrounded by large amounts of things they don’t own. Did they steal it? Is one now in major credit card debt? Or did someone else buy it all?
Alex and Aleksi — They’ve woken up beside one another, oddly close to the person beside them, stripped down to their underwear… cuddling? What did they do? Why are they so scuffed up?
Red:
Sloanne and Mason — Hospital roomies! Both woke up next to each other with moderate injuries as John/Jane Does. No identifying information was found on them.
Ethan and Bellamy — These two have woken up covered in blood. A lot of it. With a weapon suspiciously close to one of them, only neither seems to be hurt.
Evie and Caleb — They’ve both woken up in a holding cell at the local police department. They look a little rough, torn clothes, messy hair, maybe some minor injuries. And they have absolutely no idea what they’ve been arrested for. Possibly the death of the headmistress?
Juliet and Liam — Are they in a drug house? Yes, they are definitely in a drug house. And some of these people don’t really look too thrilled to see them there.
Jax and Brendon — The room they’re in looks like a tornado hit it. Everything’s a mess, including them. Neither is in great shape, but they’re not really concerned about that … because the Akamai Headmistress is beside them and very, very dead.
Danny and Vicky — They wake up in an alleyway, covered in trash with the actual murder weapon beside them.
Chase and Taylor — Both parties wake up in a dim room, same bed, handcuffed to one another. If it wasn’t either of their rooms? Where were they?
Baby and Ezra — They’ve woken up, one wounded terribly. And who gave them that wound? The only other person in the room with them. And it doesn’t make it better that they have each other's name tattooed on their arm.
Levi and Connor —They wake up on the top floor of an abandoned building, nothing on them except for a burner phone. All it says is “You did it.”
Ryan and Ashley — Both wake up in a basement, minor injuries ( scrapes and bruises ) with weapons scattered around them.
Charlie and Rachel — They wake up in a room where pictures of them from last night, passed out on the floor, have been posted everywhere in New York City. Could this ruin a reputation or expand your customers?
