Welcome to New York, the most heavily populated city in the United States. It might seem impossible for one person’s life to affect the rest of the city, but that is far from reality. It’s a small world, that makes New York a very small city, even when it seems like anything but. However, the idea of everyone being connected can be far from comforting when taking into account the city's rising crime rates. Muggers, murderers, thieves, drug dealers, those are the things that attracts attention, that everyone is aware of. What many people overlook are the two mob organizations who are often at the center of it all, and who just might have more connections than anyone realizes.
As already stated in our Discord chat, we’ll be putting NYCRP on a semi-hiatus. Lately, life has become very busy for most of the members of our group - admins included - and we understand that a lot of people have hit a rough patch as far as time to be online. As such, the admins have decided to place the group (main included) on a two-month semi-hiatus. We would still love for our members to post when they can and to stay in touch OOC, we would hate to lose anyone! At the end of March, we plan to reconvene and decide where to go from there, if everyone feels there is enough interest to continue to roleplay as it is, or if we would like to try to form something new but keep our little group of writers together. — Lots of love, the admin team
Hi, lovelies! November has proved to be a really busy month for a lot of us, including the admins. Therefore, we’ve decided to revoke the rule about doing activity checks every week. Activity checks will now be done every other week ( 14 days ) so that we’ll be able to balance real life and rp life more easily. The next activity check will be done on Monday, November 26th, so we encourage everyone to post starters and interact with one another. Should you not be able to be active, ask for a hiatus. We totally understand that work and school are hectic around this time of year. We’ll soon be posting a message in our announcement chat on Discord as well, so keep an eye out for that!

Just popping in to let you all know that due to busy schedules for the admins, we’ll have to postpone acceptance until tomorrow. So for those of you who still haven’t had the chance to send in your application, now is the time to do so. For the past couple months we’ve been talking and the admins have decided to bring in a third and final mob boss!! We wanted you, the members to be the one to portray this new boss and because of that, we have created a new app specifically for that role. We want this new boss to stand out in comparison to our other two bosses so we have a variety of choices for our characters.
We will be accepting our new mob boss on Nov. 17th.
Here are the rules:
You need to already be a member in our roleplay and shown at least two weeks of good activity.
You need to have the intention of plotting with everyone and not excluding anyone.

How welcoming and active is this roleplay? I am really intrigued and very much want to join but am always hesitant with established roleplay a due to past experiences.
We have a few people on hiatus at the moment, but when they aren’t we keep a pretty active dash, though not enough to become overwhelming. We have always been a very dedicated and welcoming group, our members new and old are really great and we always love to add to the mix!
