Game night with the besties. I love my friends! 🤗💟
Lani: Honestly, I don’t think I could do long distance either. Those kinds of relationships can be so tough. Plus, I don’t want to move and Vince’s new position is most likely permanent. . . so what would be the point in prolonging things? It’ll probably only make this all hurt even more. . .
Nylah: Mmmm, yeah you’re right. I guess there are no other options then. . . You two are just so dope together though! I wish there was some other way you two could make it work. . . Plus, I totally ship you two. And my ship is sinking! WAHHHHHHHHHH!
Lani chucked a pillow at Nylah’s head and they both erupted into giggles.
Lani: You’re such a drama queen. . . but yeah, you’re right. Unfortunately, “Vani” is sinking whether I like it or not. Ughhhhhh! I just want to sleep for a month and pretend this isn’t happening!
Nylah: There there, Lani Bani. Actually, I think I know what’ll make you feel at least a little bit better though!
Lani: Hmmmm, what? Does it possibly involve coconut ice cream and Netflix?
Nylah: Stop reading my mind, BIHHHH!
*Nylah chuckles*
Anywho, I’ll go get the ice cream and you can find something for us to binge on Netflix. Sound like a plan?
Lani: Yes, ma’am!
Nylah: Okay, so give me the details girl! What happened exactly?
Lani: Well, Vince got a promotion. . . and now he has to move across the country.
Nylah: Wow. That sucks. I mean, good for him of course! But that’s got to suck for your relationship. . . What are you gonna do?
Lani: Well, he asked me to move across the country with him. . .
Nylah: Omg! That’s a big deal! What did you say?
Lani: I said I wasn’t sure and that I’d think about it. . . but honestly, I don’t think I want to do it. I mean, I care about Vince a lot, but this is my home. My friends are here. My family. I just couldn’t imagine leaving you guys. That’d be so depressing.
Nylah: Yikes, it totally would! You know you’re my main BIHHHH! And who would fill your Main Bih position if you left? My sister, Irene?! Oh God, I’m already cringing just thinking about all of the extra unnecessary conversations we’d have about babies and her whining about needing to be married! God, save me! Wahhhhhhhhh!
Lani couldn’t help but laugh despite her somber state of mind. That was one of the great things about her bestie. She knew how to make her laugh even in the times that she thought she couldn’t possibly laugh again.
Oh, sure. Laugh at my possible misfortune!
Nylah feigned offense, but ended up giggling with Lani at her own dramatization.
But anyway, that really sucks though. Do you think you’d be willing to do a long distance relationship with him or something?
