It was unusual for Cecil to join Kanda in the meditation room --- The blond had yet to master the art or find the patience with himself to actually learn. Besides, whenever he was with Kanda, all he wanted to do was hold his hand, or chat with him, or numerous other things that would take the focus away from meditation.
He sat down next to Kanda in silence, gaze fixed on fidgety hands resting in his lap. Brows were furrowed as he remained quiet --- There was something on his mind. There has been something on his mind for a very long time, a distressing course of thoughts he just wanted to ignore until it went away, but it didn’t go, and he could no longer ignore it.
❛ Hey, Yu ... ❜ he finally spoke after what felt like forever. Reluctance rung clear in his tone, voice barely louder than a whisper. He didn’t want to continue, didn’t want this thought, this conviction to become real. If he said it aloud, he could no longer pretend it gone --- But he had to. He could no longer lie to Kanda like he had done all this time ...
❛ I’ve been really selfish ... ❜
