Well, another year draws to a close, and though I haven't done much as far as art I feel that my grasp on drawing Danny has gotten a lot better and hopefully that means that in the coming year I'll be drawing him a lot more (and with Nyreena too XD)

But the biggest thing is that this past July 29 (I missed it due to getting ready for thyroid surgery at the end of July) my dear Nyreena turned twenty years old since finally coming up with her concept while watching the premiere of Reign Storm. To think that I've had this beloved oc, my very first oc ever, for that long shows the testament this show has for being such an inspiration and still fueling my creativity for her into the new year.

(I'm literally crying as I type this because thinking back on all that time it's brought such happy memories and how many more memories will be made for years to come.)

Thank you all so much for being with me still over the year and everyone that I've gained as a new friend in this amazing fandom. I wish you all the best and that 2026 will be everything you deserve and more.

DP OC Parade Event Day 1: Introductions!

You know her, you love her, and here she is for you all to see with a brand new look!

For those of you new to the phandom this is my darling oc Nyreena Dark, daughter of Pariah Dark and the lost princess of the Ghost Zone.

Personality: Nyreena is a very endearing person who looks out for everyone that she cares about and doesn't take a lot of nonsense from no one. She's not afraid to speak her mind and if she thinks that you need to hear something bluntly and truthfully she will tell them as bluntly as she can. She deeply cares about her friends and if they're in danger she will do everything she can to protect them, even laying down her existence for them. She does have a nasty streak with her temper and set her off enough she's not going to promise that you're going to escape without a burn or two from her in return.

Backstory: Nyreena (birth name Shadowmoon) was born to Pariah Dark not too long before his eventual coup, found by the Ancient Ghosts who send her off to unknown parts of the Zone to be forgotten. However, fate (or perhaps a certain Master of Time) intervened and sent her through a natural ghost portal where she was discovered by her adoptive human parents and taken in, given the name Nyreena. Soon learning of what she really is and discovering her powers, figuring out how to look human as well, she thrives in her studies and passions (dancing, violin, and fashion) then her parents and her move from their home in good ol' NYC to Amity Park, where she meets up with Danny and the others and soon joins the team. Then, discovering through their adventures and encounters, who she truly is and after time makes the decision to take her rightful place and rule far better than her father did and make a better future for the Zone for all.

Now, I will say, since I've been in the phandom since the very beginning, Nyreena is definitely one of the OG ocs that has stuck around for a long time and thanks to this amazing show I can show her off with pride for many more years to come!

So, uh...hi XD I know most of the year's gone already but I'm slowly getting back to getting my art routine (and creative drive) back into gear now that things are starting to return to what was normal for me

(And recently had my thyroid removed for preventive reasons so I had to chill with the art for a while. Which I think really helped because I'm not as tired as after getting home from work and having no drive to do anything XD)

Anywho, after so long, I have art for you! Since joining Ectospacecadet's official DP rp server that meant Ny was going to need a fresh look for her casual wear. But with her stylish edge to it, of course!

Now that that's done time to keep that creative drive going because I've got some a couple things coming... Especially since a certain new Nicktoons game coming out has me wanting to draw a certain someone in his very...roguish getup XD

"The flower that shines in the moon's light, Cure Moonlight!"

Hoo, I haven't done proper Halloween costumes for my characters in a long time! So I decided to bring it back! First up, Nyreena as Cure Moonlight from Heartcatch Precure! for the DP rp server I'm in XD

I've been wanting to draw her as Cure Moonlight for forever so the opportunity for it to be her Halloween costume was perfect! I hope you all enjoy!

And, if I can get it done in time, someone else is dressing up as well for Halloween! Who might it be? Well, you'll just have to stay tuned...for the music...of the night...

DP OC Parade Event Day 3

In terms of what scares Nyreena there are a few-taking one misstep in a dance routine or playing one wrong note on her violin that could ruin the entire performance, failing an important test for school-you know, the usual.

But, the worst fear that she will ever have is something that ties directly to the dark history of her family's name, no pun intended...

Ever since learning of who she truly is and where her royal lineage is from she has developed the truly unnerving fear that she could end up doing something so horrid, so irreparable, so...so unforgivable to the ghosts that suffered under Pariah's immense and cruel tyranny during his reign she would be seen as carrying on his evil legacy and hunted down and punished just like he was for something that was just a misunderstanding or a mistake...

As she has learned more about what Pariah did so long ago and how it nearly devastated the entire Zone she knows that she is under a lot of scrutiny with everything that she does to try and prove herself that she is never going to be like her father and wants to do what's right for everyone that exists in the Zone.

It's definitely a lot of pressure to not make a single screw up so it's understandable that she would develop quite a fear like this. But thankfully she has Danny and their friends to stand by her and be there for her when she needs them the most when things get too much and the pressure is to unbearable to take on.

DP OC Parade Event Day 04

Instantly hands down Nyreena would definitely be a cafe person XD

There’s something about the quiet atmosphere of a cafe that just sets everything right for Nyreena’s concentration and focus, whether she’s working on homework or a new fashion design that’s setting her mind ablaze with creative adrenaline.

When there’s a thankful lull between ghost attacks she and Sam go to a little goth cafe tucked away on the main street that Sam adores and they spend a good few hours either talking about their latest book fascination or how to beat the boys at Doomed again XD

Side note: AGIT Nyreena is definitely both. Though she enjoys the quiet comfort of the cafe she will always go for the raucous excitement that a bar can get from time to time XD

DP OC Parade Event Day 05

Well, more like a few facts since there’s quite a few to know about Nyreena XD

Fact #1: She has a phoenix mark down the length of her back that has been there since ‘birth’, taking her inspiration for her theme and aspects from it

Fact #2: Though she is an accomplished dancer she does not use her ghostly abilities or powers since she knows that’s a way of cheating and she wants perform and compete fairly with everyone

Fact #3: She is an absolute chocolate addict. If anything has a chocolate element to it she has to have it, no questions asked. Even if it’s something as chocolate covered jalapeño peppers she will eat it

Fact #4: Some time after learning of her true family name and that Pariah is her father she soon develops her own pair of fangs but tends to hide them with her shapeshifting ability, however they do tend to show when she’s in a fit of anger at something or someone and it causes her concentration to hide them slip

Fact: #5: With her favorite hobby of fashion design she tends to actually design more alternative fashions, such as steampunk costumes and such. To her mainstream fashion is so overdone so going for the more alternative fashions is much more unique to her and much more inspiration to draw from

Finally, after what feels like forever, I have art!!! Along with my friend @ectospacecadet for the masquerade event coming up on their DP rp server I've made a masquerade gala outfit for Nyreena with the theme of her being a fiery yet dangerous beauty XD
