Vlakros - Llanelli - Visola - Nyreta
Before Visola's old team got killed by the Sarborcoda.
Hello friends I am here to talk to you about the various provinces of Nyreta
To the far Kr’ilf of the country is the province of Kalmeor, which borders with the Trai. Here the desert turns to a sweeping expanse of dirt, and then to rolling hills as the land becomes greener. It is the plains of this province that have held host to the Lukewarm War for the last few centuries, though no one has died there within the last hundred years. The capital of this province was once the great city of Naro, although it has long been abandoned as yet another battlefield.
Fl’us of this lie two provinces, Rachovar to the Prk and Treminto to the R’chr. Rachovar Is the largest province geographically, but both provinces are made up of swathes of countryside and farmland, dotted with only the occasional village. The capital of Treminto is the canal-city of Daivoni, built out over the water, while the capital of Rachovar is the conglomeration of villages, Riison.
Sandwiched between these two provinces is the city-state of Lemarin, the tentative capital of the nation, home to its scholars, libraries and universities, as well as its parliament council, and much of its legislative and judicial system. It is by far the most populated and technologically advanced of all the provinces. It is built over the river Lemar, and spread outwards in an ever-increasing ring of concentric circles.
Beyond that lies the coastal province of Providi, which includes the first of the islands that begin to break away from the mainland. The islands here are easily within swimming distance of one another, and the locals friendly and laid-back. The capital of this province is the white-blue coastal sity Zrek, charmingly idyllic and peaceful.
Finally, to the far Fl’us is the province of Gau, made up of the furthest islands, where they begin to spread farther apart and become harder to reach. As the islands near the open sea, the cliffs become higher, and the pastel shades of the island buildings do little to abate the danger. Nevertheless, ships which wish to sail to Zrek, or up the river to Lemarin, must pass through these treacherous rocks.
Tell us also of Nyreta, that island land, and how it continues to be a cohesive national entity despite its fragmented nature.
Ah, the islands of Nyreta. Well, around half of the country is a single land mass, but it starts to break up into smaller and smaller pieces as you get closer to the sea. Kind of like Canada, or Greece.
The islands can be close enough to be within swimming distance of each other. But while there are many idyllic beaches, there are also some pretty steep cliffs and deadly sharp rocks, meaning it can sometimes be impossible to get from one to the next directly.
The country is made up of nine states, each forming a rough cohesion of culture and ideals. Six of these are made up of islands, the remaining three are on the mainland. The capital, K’haun, is in the mainland state closest to the island border.
The people of the varied states often have heated disagreements with one another, but these days they’re only political. The states formed an alliance in defence against the Trai. There’s still a tentative war between them - you might call it a Lukewarm War, perhaps? - so the people of Nyreta put aside their differences for that purpose.
