grounded by his injuries, the fall broken by thick snow though that’s not to say it had been painless.   wings stretch with urgency,  for a trapped dragon is vulnerable.   while odahviing feels no fear, he understands the importance of his survival.   were he to die again, alduin would be without a lieutenant lest he choose to resurrect him for a second time  -  such unheard of,  to die would be to prove unworthiness.   his tail whips as he works to regain his balance, head craning in search of enemies.   arrows penetrate his scaled hide, their sharp nip noticeable and doused in poison.

        porcelain finger tapped against the table, creating a steady tempo, though beneath it there there was a touch of agitation to the beat. pink lips were pressed together in a thin line. if someone looked closely they’d find TENSION holding her shoulders and traveling down her back, depriving her seemingly normal posture of its typical ease though not its grace. appearances still must be maintained even if she was agitated. a heavy sigh fell from her lips.          ❝  all the LIARS are calling me one. ❞
