Brittany: dropped one last kiss on her sleeping daughter's forehead, tucking her blankets in around her and silently sliding out of bed, not shaking the mattress in the slightest, a tactic every mother mastered. She'd just had a long conversation with her daughter in place of what would usually be storytime, and her almost-four-year-old had changed her perspective on everything. She was still unsure about going to Santana's show, and things had been tense between them, which she hated. Tiptoeing, she made her way to their bedroom, leaning against the doorframe, content to observe Santana for a few minutes, watching her read, her small face crinkled in concentration, like it always was when she was thinking. "You're gonna be wrinkly" She said softly, even though it wasn't true. Santana had always frowned whenever she was thinking, and never, not even 30 years later, did she show a hint of wrinkle. Moving, she climbed on her bed, sitting crosslegged, facing Santana. "I wanna talk to you about...stuff" She said, fixing the strap on her tank top.
