lol I was trying to sign up for the boost thing and there were only american tour dates and then I tried to buy the magazine package and target doesn’t ship out side of the usa and then I tried to pre order the album from her website and it said it isn’t available in your country and I feel like someone is trying to sabotauge me......

You know sometimes I get really frustrated with how backwards my homeland can be- but then a British TERF gets run out of the country by an angry mob and I realise that things aren’t all that bad.

Kiwis, what is with all the weirdos (read: ne'er-do-wells) roaming the streets lately - rifling thru/stealing from letterboxes, shouting out obscenities etc?

It's making the neighbourhood feel unsafe especially as a disabled woman

Wish me luck when I have to go bring the recycling bins in at some point today 😬 the same guy has sauntered past twice now: first time yelling out "f*cking dickhead. F*ck you!" at some unseen/unheard (perhaps fictional to him) other person as he passed by our letterbox.

And we thought we were in a better area now 🤔

So the teachers union has been striking all over Aotearoa today and one thing I found really interesting is how much attitudes have changed towards the strikes.

I grew up in a family of teachers and one thing I always remember is my parents constant frustration over how badly the media portrayed their problems, particularly during strikes. Today wasn't like that; all newspaper articles I have seen have written about teachers perspectives and even radio hosts on the (non-political) pop music station kept on bringing up how undervalued teachers are.

Perhaps this is just the result of currently being under a leftwing government, but personally I wonder if the pandemic has had an affect? Did people finally realise over lockdown just how difficult kids are to manage/teach 🤔
