But more than the convenience or hip atmosphere, the cafe had become a routine meeting place for him and Rin over the past few weeks to discuss the transition of the team’s leadership. It was hard to reconcile his own confidence issues with the work he knew he’d have to put in as captain, but at the very least, he knew he couldn’t let Rin down, so he had no choice but to excel. Framing the new responsibility like that helped to ease his mind on the matter, and Ai thinks he’s been blessed with an amazing role model to follow in the footsteps of.
