I can 100% see Confucius being the friend that gives really REALLY bad advice for situations on accident. Like he means well. And he seriously thinks that his ideas are good.

But either his advice is just so downright ridiculous that anyone with half a brain wouldn't take it(but people still do and the results vary vastly) OR the advice is actually quite sound but it ends up creating more problems than what was initially there.
