Today’s Reflection

When the Archangel appeared before Mary it was no ordinary day and Mary’s response displays a lot about her character. For, she listened to the words spoken which acted much like a key that unlocks items revealing their content and in this case, it unlocked knowledge for Mary was favored, chosen, blessed, and privileged beyond anyone else. Further, Keys are not given to anyone, but only to those we trust and know will be faithful and God placed his complete trust in Mary who brought to us Jesus who holds the keys of David that unlocks the very gates of heaven securing for us eternal life. Therefore on this day let us cry out and say “O Key of David, opening the gates of God’s eternal Kingdom: come and free the prisoners of darkness!”
