Take Me Back To The Start | T&D
Daphne was sanctioned away in the library working on an assignment for Defense class. Professor Moody has been particularily nasty towards Slytherin’s and Daphne was not about to let her perfect grade slip beneath her fingers because of one bigoted professor. She made a quick note in the margins of her textbooks, before setting her quill down and stretching her hands.
Her mind wandered to the upcoming Yule Ball that would be taking place in less then a month. Daphne knew her sister had been asked out by one of the students from France and she seemed extremely excited by the prospect. But Daphne couldn’t seem to muster up the same amount of courage for such an affair--partially because the boy she fancied has failed to show--any interest in asking her himself. A small mile broke through her expressionless mask as she thought Theodore fondly. The both of them have been growing steadily closer since the start of the year and Daphne would very much like to see if he fancied her back. She was toying with the idea of asking him herself--but she wasn’t sure how he’d respond to such foreward behaviour from a girl.
Well..if he acted adversively, it would just give her a reason to discard him from her thoughts, if anything else..
She was brought out of her thoughts by someone taking a seat next to her, glancing towards them, her features softened when she recognized the boyish look on his face, “Studying as well, Theo?”
