Lately, people keep on talked about the Windblumen Festival all the time, with the blonde only understanding little to nothing about it and knowing that Lumine wasn’t from here neither. However, this wasn’t her problem in current situation right now. Having off from work, she had left the city for a while… just to find herself rather close to Dragonspine and knowing that this was not where she meant to walk to at all.

The flowers were largely unremarkable; the options were somewhat limited to what could be grown in a greenhouse in the dead of winter. The bunches of short crocus and snowdrops crowded the shallow basket. Charming, certainly, but what was more important was probably the card nestled in the blooms. "Might take you up on the offer. The flowers were unexpected, but not unwelcome. They’d add a splash of colour to the otherwise plain (if not altogether austere) room he kept at the monastery. Matthew set them on his desk with a ghost of a smile before gingerly plucking the card free.

No stranger to chicken scratch (his own scribbles could compare), he was nonetheless surprised at just how legible (if one were being generous by any stretch of the imagination) the writing was. Still, squint just right and... aha.

His smile brightened just a notch, almost imperceptibly... but it was there. The Prof had seemed to be in slightly better spirits of late, blessedly, but there remained a shadow, Matthew thought, a weight he recognized better than he’d have liked. As formidable an opponent as the Mage General could prove, politically or otherwise, should he choose to...

...Matthew much preferred the man in one piece. Broken and tattered ill suited him. A chat might not hurt.

(And besides, he’d not be one to turn down a free birthday drink.)

He knew, that he was standing between life and death, whenever this guy said such things. Knew, that the older brother of his girlfriend surely was capable of hiding corpses. As someone who was a hitman, there definitely came something threatening off. Something, Sehun would like to laugh off. But whenever he tried, it stayed stuck in his throat. Instead, came out as a nervous smile, with each muscle of his body tensed.

A stiff hum escaped his throat.

It wasn't usual, that he grew that nervous actually. Was it the fact, that he knew that guns were involved, when it came to the two former secret agents?

If I were dating you there would be a lot of cuddling and talking about life and magic. I'd make sure you were taking care of yourself and not just running yourself into the ground trying to take care of everyone else. Did i mention cuddling? Because there'd be a lot of cuddling. Reading together would happen too. Curled up by a warm fire while laying on a bunch of fur rugs, wrapped in blankets and enjoying some tea. Also I'd try to convince you that we need a cat.
