A study of living in wealth, unable to escape the pressure put on, wanting to please in fear to cause disappointment and yet wishing to be able to stay true to the self. Of willingly sacrificing the self, in order to save those dear, even if it means to face one’s greatest fear of might losing freedom entirely.
A study of family, love and light.

Okay, so it hadn't been him. Roy waited patiently until she decided which action to take next. She seemed to calm down at least and eventually took it out again to show him. An anemo vision; so he hadn't seen wrong. But why would she react like this to him seeing it? It looked completely normal. Glowing from the fully charged energy inside of it, but ordinary.
"...Oooooh...." His eyes went to her face and back to the vision. Now that she mentioned it, he noticed that the frame came from Inazuma. Didn't they have that ... what was it? Vision Hunt decree going on not long ago? But didn't that end already?
When he saw her tears, he panicked a bit. "Oh gods, uhm... please don't worry. I won't tell anyone, I promise." He reached out and closed her fingers around the glowing gem with his own, then gently patted her now-fist. "Listen... if anybody comes for you, just tell someone to get me. I won't let anyone drag you or your sister off, even when the archon herself comes." He smiled. "Actually, wouldn't that be kind of cool? I'd have the chance to fight her. I heard she had a cool sword technique, but she can't be any better than my archon and I can hold my own against her." As often, he just started blabbering his thoughts out as soon as they popped into his head as he was trying to reassure her.
"Nothing will happen to you, or your sister. Don't worry." He gave her a gentle smile. "I promise, so just rely on me."
Could she trust such words? They sounded reassuring, yet she couldn’t help but feel fear nevertheless. The hand holding the vision trembled more. All she wanted was to give this damn thing to Barbatos. Why was he the only one of the seven to never show up though? It felt like the world just cursed her. With lips tightened into a thin line, she gave him a weak nod, but her chin stayed dipped towards her chest, her eyes focus on the ground underneath them. There was the will to just let go of this thing, drop it into the grass and forget that it ever existed. But no matter what she did, she simply could not do it. It felt wrong.
She listened to his words silently, her expression shifting to surprise as soon as he mentioned of wanting to fight the god of eternity.
“You… no, actually. I guess I am not surprised such words coming from you.”, she muttered, a slight smile forming on her lips after all, as she shook her head slightly, “You always seem to look for a fight, don’t you?”.
It was not said in judgement, but in acknowledgement. The tears hadn’t stopped flowing, but she did try to wipe them away. Ah, her face must look so ugly now all puffy and reddened from all the crying. It was rather embarrassing to her, that he had to see her like this.
“I apologize for telling you all my problems. I… just didn’t know how else to explain the situation.”
// Soz for the inactivity across my accounts currently. I'll try to do things on my multimuse and then hopefully get to replies here too - after I studied.
The reblog chain is one of the things that makes Tumblr unlike anywhere else. All the notes on reblogs are attributed to the original post, no matter which branch people actually liked or reblogged. We want to keep encouraging conversations, and give contributors the recognition they deserve.
Soon, you'll be able to like, reblog, or reply to any part of a reblog chain, and that note will go to that reblog's author. Each reblog will have its own counts, instead of one aggregated number from every version of the post. And yes, you’ll be able to like multiple posts in one chain.
If a reblog doesn't add anything, the love flows up to the last person in the chain who did. Your post doesn't lose notes just because people spread it quietly.
Past notes will stay on the original post — we're only changing what happens from here on out. Retroactively re-attributing all of them would be... a lot.
This is just the beginning. More changes are coming as we keep building this out – stay tuned!
We rolled out a significant change to how notes work on reblogs, and the reaction has been strong. We're not going to pretend otherwise.
First things first: We're reversing the change. Your feedback in comments, emails, and especially reblogs, made clear that the rollout created problems we need to address before moving forward. We also should have communicated this differently from the start, and we didn't.
We still believe there's a better version of how reblogs can work. One that gives every voice in a chain the credit it deserves. But we want to get there with you.
In the coming days we'll share more on how we plan to do that, including ways to work directly with some of you on this and future changes before they ship.
