#oakmoonchallenge Day 8. Where do I feel most unworthy of an honest exchange with spirit? The 2 of swords, the Fool. I had a lot of trouble with this draw and actually tried it a few times because I couldn’t sit long enough with the first cards I pulled. But the Fool really resonated. I don’t want to be the fool, the thought of walking out into the world so innocent and unprotected makes me feel queezy. I’m not sure how much of this is an “unworthiness” as it is just as fear of being seen. Days 7 and 8 of #oakmoonchallenge What would allowing deeper faith force me to confront? Ace of Pentacles. Yup. Like: if the universe is always supporting me, why do I insist on always struggling? Can I stop fighting for once and allow my success to come to me? What vulnerable part of me is most armored by skepticism? Page of Cups. Oh my god. Yes. My emotional self, my heart is covered up. “Why would anyone want to be friends with me? #oakmoonchallenge Day 6. What would deeper belief invite into my life? Queen of Wands. At first blush this card is just funny. It was the card @oakmoontarot drew for me about this training and what the training would represent. So, my faith, even as shallow as it was/is, did invite this into my life. But deeper than that, I feel this as a call to move toward receptivity and embrace my magic. So many people describe the Queen of Wands as the Witch of the Tarot, which I like. How do I feel when I think about faith? #oakmoonchallenge day 5. I loved this pull after having trouble with yesterday’s prompt. There is so much potential here, so much presence. My faith has really been moving into this deeply grounded and embodied place and I love it. #oakmoonchallenge Why has faith eluded me? King of Cups, clarified with 8 of Pentacles. I was so unsure of the king here, and I guess I still am, but with the 8, I think it’s telling me that my approach to faith has been off. After the emotional manipulation of growing up evangelical, I cut emotions almost completely out of my spirituality. Things needed to make sense logically, and be processed through the body. (I.e. reading, meditation, and yoga). After being hurt it was like I was “above” having an emotional experience. I chatted with @oakmoontarot about my reading and she said the word that kept coming up for her was humility, it totally resonates with me. So I guess that’s it. #oakmoonchallenge Day 3! How has my Skepticism served me? Oh my god, this. My skepticism has kept me moving forward, pressing onward. It has built think tank of a chariot and driven it through some serious shit. This drive, this insistence on moving forward has provided me so much. I’ve built so many incredible things in my life, and it’s driven me to abandon things that I could have learned more from. As @suzannestabile says about 8’s, I will often just take my marbles and go home when things don’t go the way I think they should. And to be honest, this has been an incredible gift in many ways. I have no tolerance for toxic relationships or situations and this way of being has kept me out of them. I am now also seeing that there is a cost. I. Am. Tired.
