STATS:
Name: Morrigan
Breed: Eagle Owl
Age: 12
Fun fact: Morrigan is a very particular owl, often turning her nose up at things, especially food if she thinks something better might be on offer
Amos was gifted Morrigan by his parents for his 21st birthday, whilst he did eventually want other pets, he was not home often enough to take care of them properly, so an owl was definitely the right choice. Of course, Amos Diggory couldn’t have just any owl, no, he had to have the rarest owl breed in the UK. If Amos was honest, at first he was sure about Morrigan, just another thing that seemed to remind him he was expected to be better than others. It seemed the feeling was mutual, for the first few weeks, Morrigan would try peck at him, warning him off, but as the months past, they both warmed to each other. Morrigan letting Amos pet her more, and coming to sit on the edge of his desk whenever he had was buried in his work. In Morrigan Amos had found someone to talk to and be his real self with, of course she couldn’t reply so it didn’t matter what he told her, although she certainly seemed to give him a few judgmental looks. Now 10 years later she certainly was his number one confidant. He knew Arthur would always be there for him, but Amos tried not to put too much on his shoulders, Arthur already had his own stuff to worry about, especially now with the wedding. Amos is glad that Morrigan never strays too far from his house, he has gotten used to her constant presence and at this point would feel a little lost without her.

“Life’s but a walking shadow, a poor player, that struts and frets his hour upon the stage, and then is heard no more; it is a tale told by an idiot, full of sound and fury, signifying nothing."

“I have absolutely no pleasure in the stimulants in which I sometimes so madly indulge. It has not been in the pursuit of pleasure that I have periled life and reputation and reason. It has been the desperate attempt to escape from torturing memories, from a sense of insupportable loneliness and a dread of some strange impending doom.”
― Edgar Allan Poe
