Matcha oatmeal for lunch today. A great way to enjoy all of those antioxidants! And did you know that by eating the kiwi skin you're getting 3x the amount of fiber?? I always eat it (I'm a little weird though haha). #oatmealaddict
My basic oatmeal recipe
I was asked to give away my oatmeal recipe yesterday, so here you go 😘
Ingredients: 60g rolled oats 1 tbsp flax seeds 1 tbsp wheat bran water 1 tsp salt Optional: cinnamon, cardamom, ginger...
The first thing I do is to fill up my kettle with about 750 ml of water and heat it up to a boil. Meanwhile I add everything but the salt in a pot, and when the water is boiling I pour in enough to make it a really runny soup. Then I simply leave it to cook on medium heat for as long as I manage to wait. Minimum time is 5 minutes, and max 30, depending on how muck time you have on your hands. Cooking it for longer will make it more sticky. When I notice it's starting to become dry, I simply add more water from the kettle, and stir it in.
Once I'm ready to eat I remove the pot from the heat, stir in the salt and on occasion other spices, before shuffling into a bowl and decorate with whatever I feel like at the moment.
I hope you enjoy your oats, and if you want me to see them on instagram you can tag me @healthycrumble 😘 I'd love to see your photos!
