if you don't like the movie, that's fine, give your reasons idc, but don't say you're woke because you don't like what the movie is literally trying to show you all the time

In my head, after Nikki snaps back to her senses, it doesn't take her as long as you'd think before she calms herself down enough to come up with a plan. After all, she was clearly a very smart, self-sufficient woman. After showering, she quickly goes to Ian's house and scoops up enough of that billion dollars to run fast and far away. After a long search, she finally finds a One Wish Willow and wishes to go back in time before Bear made that abominable fucking wish. And then in the blink of an eye, she finds herself standing safely inside her old home again. When she looks out the window, he's still sitting in his car, and she walks out there like the fucking Terminator to punch him through the window before jerking that One Wish Willow he had out of his hands and then hitting him again for luck. For good measure, she goes and clears out the ones at the crystal shop the next morning before quitting her job on the spot and moving far, far away to live happily ever after, writing award-winning love stories a world away from that life.

I think something that fucks me up a bit about obsession is that Bear’s desire to get rid of the wish never ever had anything to do with Nikki’s autonomy. Not even a little bit. Like literally when he does call the customer service number he doesn’t even want to get rid of the wish, he wants to “alter it”. The only issue for him is that she’s not behaving typically. He doesn’t fucking care about how much pain she’s in. The fact that the one time Nikki is able to be given autonomy Bear fucking robs her of that and not only doesn’t do what she asks but also makes her very real pain all about him.

I really liked Obsession 2026 like seriously may be my favorite horror movie of the year but I did immediately go home after the theater to make sure my cats were okay and kissed them on the head so many times
