Obitsuroid Tutorial Episode 1: Ways to attach a Nendoroid Head to an Obitsu 11cm Body!
Obitsuroid Tutorial Episode 1: Ways to attach a Nendoroid Head to an Obitsu 11cm Body!
My Obitsu and Nendoroid body comparison post seems to be getting a lot of traction, so I thought of sharing the tips and ways I’ve learned over time on how to attach a Nendoroid head to an Obitsu body, therefore creating what we call an Obitsuroid! An Obisuroid is basically a hybrid or a combination of a Nendoroid head with an Obitsu body. I’ve only ever tried attaching a Nendoroid head to an…

Patterns? Help?
Does anyone have any patterns for obitsu 11s? All I can find are ones in Japanese, so I have no idea how to put them together and attempts to make patterns on my own have not gone well...
the face
The Parabox Hikari head is SO CUTE. I already kinda want another one so I could paint it differently. It has almost no mouth definition, so there are lots of different ways you could paint it. I'm not thrilled with the big slit in the front of her icing wig, but it makes it much easier to take on and off, and I'm still working out this whole icing-wig-thing, so of course it's not perfect. If the highness of the slit starts bugging me, I might paint a bit of the skin under it to make it less noticeable... or I could see if I could patch it up with a little icing and still have it work... it's all a learning process!
Anyways, she’s all finished here ^_^ I made her outfit using a pattern from NG Creations (meant for Kelly-size dolls, but with a bit of adjusting, it works for Obitsu 11cms).
Nuis have a new brother!!
I just realised that when I finished the sweater I went ‘there’s no way that will fit an obitsu’ and grabbed my pukifee instead. But I never actually tried it on the obitsu? So I took the finished outfit and tried it on tiny fella (added the picture of the same outfit on pukifee for comparison):
It is way to big. Not the little bit that you get when you cut the pattern with a 5 mm seam allowance and then sew with a 4 mm allowance. Just, enormous. The tights too. I’m really happy they fit my pukifee but this is a bit weird. I’m really curious how the patterns for non stretchy fabric wil turn out.
Just for shits and giggles and because I was amazed how big of a size difference there is between pukifee and obitsu:
Tiny fella really is tiny.
