oooo that's a good question! i would encourage anyone in the objectum community to answer since i'm not as familiar with that one (and i'll try to tag this as such).

based on a quick Google search, a paraphilia is seen as a sexual desire for anything that is not a legally consenting human. so imo, a sexual desire for objects would count as a paraphilia. i'd be curious to know what exactly the debate is about it. :O

Are you going to slander plushums next? If people liking adult voiced cartoon characters like the south park kids is pedophilia then how's someone liking an animal plushie not zoophilia by that logic? Tiktok got tired of bullying proshippers and has moved on to objectums and I hope they're two communities learn to appreciate eachother as objectums now get the comments saying "get help" "delusional" "something seriously wrong with you" "pedo" "*some form of encouraging self harm/suicide*" and ofcourse assume everything about the label is inherently sexual when it's not.
