12/4/24 |Sheeply here. this is my 2nd time going out with Dreamdrop, ever. since the day i was bought. they wore one of their paw gloves today. we ran errand with Dream's caregiver, got Starbucks with her and Dewdrop's Mum.
after they had a dietitian appointment. after that we went to Dreamdrop's Mum's place. they helped their Mum set up her new laptop, and fixing stuff for her google home.
after they got home it was late, so they talked with their friends and engaged in special interests. slept with Dream..they are good beans. - Sheeply

2022 Fashion Show Part 3: another lamb tale
Lambs are quite a large part of the hospital's patient group, especially since Daisy wrote this wonderful post about her Lamby almost a decade ago. Because of that, you may see lots of lamb stories here, but each is a different patient, with their own special tale (and tail). :-)
Today, in following the fashion show theme, I'd like to introduce you to Cathy the lamb. Her person first wrote back in the fall. Cathy was worn from so many hugs and adventures, and her vision was impaired. She also had some wounds, and really wanted to try a spa. Here is one of her diagnosis photos:
After considering wound repair, lining and wound repair, and recovering, her person opted to go with lining. Cathy was having a spa too, so she'd be unstuffed anyway, and this way she would still look like herself. It turned out her eye was still around, so it could maybe be reinstalled. Then, and here's the fashion show part, she would get a hoodie to protect her on the outside. Her person would send a blanket with her, Cathy's own blanket, to be used for the fabric.
Cathy arrived at the hospital for her appointment this winter and treatment began with the spa. If a patient is going to be cleaned, I always do this first so all surgeries are as infection free as possible. :-) Here she is in her bubble bath:
Next she got restuffed, with a heart with a bit of her original stuffing inside:
Her person wrote "She keeps her feelings there…and memories, I suspect. :)"
Then it was on to the eye... new eye, old eye reinstall? The post of her eye had broken off, but was still inside and could stay in place, but only without a new eye. After much thought (and photos) her person opted to keep the original eye, which meant gluing, which we don't usually do (because it's not something easily reversed). But in Cathy's case, it worked.
Soon, she was plump, vision restored, and ready for her hoodie fitting:
And here she is sporting her spiffy blanket hoodie! I kept the original blanket edging as a style marker, rather than adding an extra hem. And then added a small kangaroo pouch pocket, so she could store extra secrets and finds:
Cathy's person was very happy. She wrote:
Awww! She looks awesome (and cozy), thank you so much!
Thank you so much!
I look forward to many, many years of adventure with Cathy, and will recommend you and your services to anyone I know. :)
You rock!
And once Cathy was home, her person wrote again:
I really can't thank you enough, you took such good care of her and fixed her up wonderfully. She even came home ahead of schedule! You are amazing!
The hoodie is absolutely adorable. I had to make sure I could get her in and out without hurting her, and I can! Thank you, also, for sending the rest of her blanket back. :)
Thank you again!
