Observing Fandoms: Negativity in Teen Wolf

Look... this fandom is wacked sometimes. I mean, I made a post on something called Jeff Davis Tries, trying to focus on the positive instead of the negative, and while some where okay with it, others felt I was completely wrong. And that's fine, but honestly, it leads into a main problem I have with this fandom.

Look, I love being critical about something. I love tearing apart something that deserves to be teared apart. But honestly, why does everything have to be so negative?

In the shipping, in the characters. Hey, Stiles gets to be the villain, allowing for interesting development and or radical change to formula? BOO, he's another white guy, more Kira! , Sterek must burn, all that crap.

People say this. It's a reality. And it drives me nuts.

I'm sorry, but it when it comes to this, It makes me angry. Any type of positivity is ripped to sheds due to the dislike of ship, or a character. It's annoying too, cause I know this wont' change anything, hell I might get more negative reactions.

Here's a fact boys and girls, jeff davis does try. Emphasis on 'try'. It's my new tag, and I want you to spread it around. Talk about the positive along with the negative.

If any of my followers do this, It would be most appreciated, and those are't following, it's appreciated as well.

Jeff Davis is not a gift. Butt that doesn't mean we have to be rude about it.

Observing Fandom: Jeff Davis Tries

You know what I sadly hate about any fandom. The inability to look past compromises and problems outside the story.

Jeff Davis is not a gift. Yes, he is not. But damn it, some of the problems couldn't be helped.

Think about it, why is that Boyd and Erica died in Season 3A after being focused on being captured in season 2? For Derek to have more suffering? Because Jeff Davis was a cruel prick?

No, it's because the actors left the show. It was obviously planned for Cora to be Erica instead of who she was, and the script had to adapt to the show's problem.

So how do you get rid  of the characters without  angering the fandom. Simple, you  kill them off. 

Why didn't they do that with Jackson, you ask. Well they did. In an alternate scene, Jackson did die. But Jeff Davis wanted to make it a happy ending, and of course got screwed when the Actor who played Jackson left.

The main problems with the script in a season 3A was that the Actors left right when they were literally the main points of Season 3A. Jackson, Boyd Erica, ironically enough were the main driving points that needed to be focused on.

It was bad luck.

And then there's Jennifer. When she was revealed to be a villain, I loved every second of her. Her nice/villain act was made even better by the fact, she did care about Derek in some way. In fact, I consider a anti-Kate (Remind me to do a meta on thaT)  

We had that scene with Danny and Ethan. (Ethan's underrated as character by the way.) And Aiden is slowly getting better

We also have a great mom figure in Melissa Mccall, and hell, hey even brought Braeden back. And lets not forget awesome Kira.

Look Jeff Davis fucks in representation. He killed Boyd for man-pain, abuses Issac on a daily basis, and turn Lydia nut for a while. But for every bad thing he does, he does some pretty good ones as well.

JEFF DAVIS IS NOT A GIFT. But dammit, give him some credit for trying.

I find it kinda sad that while I've made a some meta on Teen Wolf episodes and characters, it's when I state my opinion of Shipping Meta that I get reblog and responses. Sigh's. Well, time to debate!

Observing Teen Wolf: Boyd or Issac?

My first post ever on tumblr was on how screwed the writers were when they wrote that scene. Most people wouldn't realize this, but there were really only two choice they could make. Boyd or Issac. Now, either way you slice it, there will be hell to pay if you killed either one. 

While one can wish Boyd survived, in my opinion, he had to be the one to go out of two. I can hate them for not developing Boyd enough, but I can't hate them for deciding which Beta had to go.

So... which would you choose?

Why you shouldn't be passive-aggresive towards any fans

Look, I love some of the analysis on Teen Wolf. But I've noticed on things that all the fans do that just kinda annoys me.

Why the hell do you have to be fucking passive-agressive towards any fans who disagree with your ship?

Look anti-Sterek fans, yes, some of Sterek meta is beyond baseless and completely dumb. Yes some of it is just wishful thinking. And yes , Stiles isn't god's gift to us puny mortals. But seriously? Being passive-aggresive is just same as being aggressive, except it's even more condescending. 

Don't do that! Why give them a reason to hate... and this same argument goes to you Sterek fans.

Yes you have a ship you love. Yes people are constantly hating on you because a bunch of bad apples on the internet. But constantly fighting with a different side doesn't solve anything.

Look all.. I'm asking is for you to try to just post you opinion without insulting another group like reasonable, understanding individuals?

Oh wait I forgot: THIS IS THE INTERNET! FUCK!

An outsiders view on Boyd's death

I just want point something out. I'm white, so maybe I don't understand, but I just  to point out that Boyd was going to be one who died. It wasn't because he was black, but because of Issac. Look, this episode was about Derek fucking up again and losing a beta. It had to be a beta, because Derek needs not only trust them, but feel responsible for them. So it had Issac or Boyd. Derek knew he was their Alpha, and of course one of them had to go.

Honeslty, I pity Jeff in this situation. Issac was a fan favortie, but killing Boyd would be seen as racist. Either way you look at it, there was going to be a fan outlash. But while I say Boyd's death was simply out Jeff's hands, I'm not excusing the fact he barely got any character development through season 2 or 3, you guys can definitely get mad at that.

But for Boyd's death, just be glad that they treated it as a powerful scene. They could made much worse. 

So.... don't kill me?
