A Seed Planted . . . Heavily inspired on @/sumthinganarchy 's au
Part 1 of As The Roots Grow, Something New Blossoms . . . summary: You were just messing around with coding, that was all. So, how did you accidentally make the official builderman account come to life? tags: implied builderman x reader / Gn!reader / not proofread / introduction to au / no use of Y/N / third person pov / 835 words notes: at the end bc it's pretty long,,,,
Obsessive Coding!au masterlist | Part 2 — [ HERE ]
It was a boring day, like any other. You had finally gotten off of your job, and came back home.
You were tired, and reasonably at that. So, you made a quick 'meal' with the limits things you had. You’d finish your food and dump your dishes with the rest, and quickly head to your room. Unfortunately, you weren’t tired enough to sleep, so second best option? Play roblox.
Even with everything going on with the damn game, you still had a lot fun playing it. Maybe it was just to past time? Maybe a sense of comfort? An escape from reality? Whatever the reason was, you liked it and had fun. Buttt….. Sometimes, it can get boring.
Nowadays, roblox is filled with all kinds of brainrot or condo games. So you only have a set amount of games you like, which kinda sucks. You really only cycle through the couple of good games before they get boring. And naturally it made you turn to learn how to code, to make your own games of course. :)
But learning to code roblox games got you curious to code other things. You learned a lot more over the months, mostly to 'exploit' roblox. But there were times were you made your own code, they did nothing but be made out of jumbles of lines. Until one lucky day.
You made a 'virus', just watched some youtube videos and read a few reddit threads. It was to made to mess with people's avatars, it was mostly for the weird ones… But, you had certain test target in mind that day. David whatever is his last name is!! He IS a pretty big weirdo himself after all. And it’s not like he uses the account anymore..
And you had nothing else to do anyways… So you got to work! You spent a good amount of hours trying to get to account’s coding, even if you didn't realize it. But—BUT!! After all those hours, you had manage to get in. And you totally, sneakily planted the virus into the account’s code and quickly made your escape before anyone in Roblox would notice.
You check on the alt acc and any of roblox's socials everyday and waited until something happened. Waited, and waited, and waited, and waited, and waited, and waited, and WAITED. . . . . . .
And absolutely nothing came up!! Nothing on the account, no post anywhere, and not even a BAN on the alt or ANYTHING! Just nothing ! .... But could you really be mad? That code wasn't going to guarantee anything, so why be so disappointed?
Weeks pass on, and you eventually got over the failed virus. Then months passed, and slowly but surely, you forgot about it. Just went back to your regular 'ol life and playing roblox like normal.
But that virus, it was still there, in lines of coding. As days passed by, the virus would grow and build itself. And eventually, he’d wake up.
It was dark when builderman first gain consciousness, just a room (which, he's not even sure is a room) in pitch black. But he would quickly come to realize it wasn't actually dark. He’d look down at his hands and see them. Builderman twisted his arms around, then open and closed his hand.
“What the…?”
The way he could move and talk, it felt uncanny.
It took builderman some time to get use to all of his new mobility. And when he did, he start to learn about the coding within the game. And this way easier to navigate, it felt more natural than all the free moving and talking.
A small screen is all he had, looked exactly like the regular home screen for roblox, but there was a small difference. That difference was that fact that builderman had around 70 million followers—not friends,—followers on his account.
“O-oh, oh my..”
Was builderman that popular? Can mascots be that popular? It was a bit silly to admit, but he felt quite flattered by the large number. Even if they weren't friends, the millions of players still had a connection with him. And even then, there was something else pulling him towards it other than the numbers. And without a second to think, it was like he snap into a mind filled with nothingness. His hand typed on it’s own as it wrote a username into the search bar. And when he finally got control back, he was looking right at the profile his code was desperate to find.
It was your profile.
Specifically, the alt which you used the day you planted the virus in him. But builderman doesn't know that. He doesn't even know who you are ! You were just another player.. right?
But was just something in him, in the lines of his coding. Something that made him drawn to you. Without even realizing it, he’d put hand on your avatar’s picture. Right on the avatar’s—your face. Like he wanted to touch you, to feel you.
“Just… just who exactly are ya..?”
⋆.ೃ࿔*:・⸝⸝ I have a few things to say,
1) OMG this is my first fic,,, Like EVER. So hope it doesn't suck too much lmao!
2) This is heavily inspired by @/sumthinganarchy's self aware au, uhh stuff like characterization of the avatars or how the avatars became aware is gonna different from what they've wrote... Soo go check out their work! Here's a link to their blog ( im too scared to actually tag em,,, ) Also the tag/name(s) for the au will mostly be Obsessive Coding!au and oc!au, but I will still tag "self aware roblox" to find my stuff easier for people who already read @/sumthinganarchy's au
3) sorr if this a jumble of word,,, i dont knw really how to word what I wanna say,,, 4) FYI- C00lkidd isn't based on forsaken's C00lkidd, so he's not a kid or anything, thought I should put it here js in case.
… Also forsaken tag is there, it’s just to get to more people.
