Planning on it! I’m going to park my butt on the patio with some iced coffee and my writing notebook; scribbling stuff with pen and paper, I find, is the best way for me to organize my ideas.

I’ve mostly got worldbuilding in my head - there’s three major powers in the galaxy that’s the ‘verses’s setting and I’ve got the bug to try and flesh them out.

1. if someone wanted to really understand you, what would they read/watch/listen to?

i’m just going with whatever pops in my head bc this one is TOO DIFFICULT UGH

-Read: pride & prejudice, twelfth night, anything by cs lewis and eckhart tolle-Watch: P&P A&E miniseries (yes THAT one), beauty & the beast, howl’s moving castle, the winter soldier, little women (the hepburn one and the winona one), anything with gene kelly really, bringing up baby (or anything with cary grant or katherine hepburn and especially with both), singin in the rain, every disney movie ever?? and anything from the 40′s/50′s. basically.-Listen to: all of @arealcharmingprincess‘s 8tracks playlists (or any music from the 40′s); hall&oates, for king & country, disney music obviously, LOTR soundtracks, idek my music taste is varied and random and i can’t do this one *sob*

11. Describe your ideal day

Okay so. Breakfast of tea and belgian waffles with strawberries & whipped cream. Put on a baseball cap and keds, go to a park, play catch maybe, enjoy the perfect weather (this day does not take place in florida obviously). Go home, shower, have lunch at a small cafe with outdoor seating. Walk aimlessly around a museum or do a tour of historic homes or visit a gallery or “shop” for antiques. Afternoon tea at an actual tea room. Movie or play in the evening, home by 9 and in pj’s snuggled up on the couch with pizza & hard cider.

Alternately, sit on couch in pj’s all day long playing on tumblr and listening to 40′s music or rewatching my 5 favorite movies. 

21. Do you love easily?

Oh god yes do I ever. TOO easily probably. I can’t help myself. I’m like a fucking puppy or something I just want to be everyone’s best friend and make them happy. This is a problem for me but also something I’m willing to admit about myself and live with because there are worse flaws I guess. Also I don’t just fall in love with people, I fall in love with places, songs, art, movies, fictional characters (obviously), just? moments in life. I’m a hopeless romantic and I don’t know how to control myself.

For a number of years I was in a similar situation (but for me it was stupid, stupid Florida) and what helped me the most was finding a few small things that I liked and clung to them: my favourite game store, nights in with friends, that sort of thing. I find now that I've moved very far away to escape it, I still miss those things because they really helped me get through an otherwise difficult time.

aww, thank you. you know, I’ve been meaning to look into rabb.it for the creation of some virtual movie and/or chat dates, I will take this as a reminder to move that further up the to-do list

i'm sorry, that's really rough! i'm from md and you are right on the money re: it being insular & having everyone in each others business

ugh. IT’S JUST SO UGH. I don’t like the weather either, which is a dumb thing to get caught up on, but it just ... THERE ARE SO MANY BUGS EVERYWHERE. I NEED TO LIVE SOMEWHERE WITH WINTER SO IT KILLS SOME OF THEM.

it is, actually. which is something? Like, I can think of several silver lining points about this situation, but also it means I have to live here and I don’t want to live here. :P

I second thesecondsealwrites. You can always turn 'drinking coffee', 'playing games', 'sitting in favorite place admiring the surroundings (or walking/cycling around a bit, whatever your preference)' and 'reading random stuff that interests me' into a plan, if that helps.

Yeah, that’s not a problem.  I am doing things, I just feel anxious because I’m not doing “important things.”  You know what I mean?  I’m so used to running around like a chicken with my head cut off that it doesn’t feel natural to take it easy x.x I’m trying, though.

1.have you ever found a writer who thinks just like you? if so, who?

Hmm, not quite?

I have writers whose writing I adore, or whose writing I aspire to, but I haven’t come across one who thinks like me. Or maybe I’m not looking deeply enough, I don’t know.

11. describe your ideal day.

65-70F, slightly overcast, but with some sunny moments--perfect for having the windows and balcony door open. A light breeze. Maybe a little drizzle at some point. A book is by my side, a mug eternally full of my tea of the day. Cats snoozing in their beds or houses nearby, the computer is open and I am working on my novel. I also probably have either a notebook with a different story in it, or three notebooks with notes for said story on computer splayed out on the coffee table. An appropriately themed playlist is playing with no commercials. I am sufficiently fed and will be doing jiu jitsu practice in the evening.

17. would you say your tumblr is a fair representation of the “real you”?

For the most part, I think so. I’ve got a personal tumblr for the more... domestic? side of me, but the geekery that abounds here (as well as the myriad of writing and yelling about writing) is probably a fairer estimation /chuckles

Phrased like that, I would think you were asking to make it warmer; "can you turn the air down = make it less intense." I would say "can you turn the TEMPERATURE down" if I wanted it colder. turn up the heat = make hotter, turn up the air = make colder

Warmer, imo! At least colloquially, "air" usually refers to the AC.
