Teddientervention, stage 1

A starter for @psycheprincess because I have no self-control xD

“Teddie-chan, do you mind if we had a chat after the TV training? It’s about Rise-san.” Naoto had observed her best friend’s behavior for a two weeks now after noticing it changing a little. She wasn’t sure if others had noticed every bit already but the latest change of Rise blushing near Naoto often couldn’t be missed. Hell, even Yukiko noticed that and was currently wondering the possible reasons.

The usually spontaneous delinquent had become unusually quiet and she had stopped teasing at Naoto in most situations she’d usually take the opportunity to either confuse Naoto or make the detective embarrassed. Instead she was either embarrassed or flustered when she was talking with Naoto and especially when commenting Naoto’s looks or losing the words for a moment: The phrase “You saw and heard nothing” and “It’s nothing” were an ordinary thing. These were only example cases and she was getting worried about Rise’s wellbeing.

“Goddamnit girls, go into the gay place.” Teddie...

Shit I have said while watching P4 

Cue Naoto blushing from out of nowhere and stammering to Teddie that she didn’t have to put it that way. “Teddie-chan - why did you say that aloud? That place over there isn’t ‘the gay place’ and do you have any idea what you might’ve done? Others had no idea of my crush and I had no plans of telling her until I - find the correct words for that!” She hoped that she wouldn’t be made fun of after the other members she considered as close friends found out the ever-immune Detective Prince was crushing on the most unlikely person in the town of Inaba.

She wasn’t sure of how Rise took the statement or whether she’d be willing to enter the dungeon which creeped her out.

“HAVE SOME CLASS WITH YOUR PORN PREFERENCES GOD.” overheard by Naoto. Teddie yelled it at Yosuke.

Naoto was irked by what she’d just heard. She considered such literature or magazines to be nonsense and targeted towards people unlike her, in other words males who were drawn to the overly exaggerated content, and as long as they didn’t bother anyone else with their business she saw no reason to scold them. This time was an exception since it involved two of her close friends and Yosuke’s bad taste was a really bad influence for her. 

She went to the same room and commented neutrally that she “Yosuke-senpai... I sincerely hope you haven’t let Teddie-chan see the worst bits. Oh, and hi Teddie-chan. Hope you don’t mind the lecture I’m about to give to him.” Topics such as “mind your own business”, “don’t disrupt others with your porn stash” and “don’t ruin my important friend’s mind” were on the list.

Shit I have said while watching P4

Naoto didn’t seem to care about Teddie’s warnings when she was planning to catch Rise’s Shadow running wild for at least tenth time this year. It was irritating both of the girls and usually the detective was the one dealing with this: she had her ways of coaxing the pompous queen Shadow back to her castle where she was supposed to be, not hanging around other dungeons excluding Secret Laboratory. She seemed to be afraid of the lasers and the mad scientist inspiredsci fi environment.

“I wouldn’t be that concerned about my safety, Teddie-chan.” She spun her gun in her left hand while picking up her bag and looking where she heard the obnoxious voice. “I have good persuasion skills and know fairly well how to lure Shadows towards me. If nothing else, I’ll drag her back using force or recruit Rise-san to my plans.”

So Naoto got a call from a dejected Teddie. "We forgot about Rise's birthday... you gotta help us, Naoto..."

“What - you really forgot that!? This definitely is an issue which needs to be addressed immediately .” Naoto had been visiting the cemetery with her grandfather during the day Rise had her birthday so it had completely slipped her mind. It was obvious Teddie needed help and the bluenette was also feeling bad for forgetting her bestie’s birthday.

“Let me know how I can be in assistance to you. Do you need me to buy her anything or do something specific, perhaps?”

“YOU FOUR ARE TERRIBLE TEEN DETECTIVES” from Teddie

“I’d like to correct one thing: I don’t consider my idea to pursue information with questionable means to be terrible. Unlike them, I had a plan and followed it. I didn’t have the grand idea of stalking people and expecting them not to notice you.” She muttered and asked Teddie what had caused this comment to arise. Had it been the careless attitiude at TV World or something else…?

“Ah…! Don’t press there!” (and Teddie got hit by a shadow.)

The detective looked concerned when she’d started confirming whether the navigator of their team of TV World explorers wasn’t too hurt after that Shadow had hit her Persona’s weakness and caused her to be dizzy for some time during the battle. This had made sure that she’d clearly underestimated the effect and emphasized how she wanted to help her new acquaintance. “Teddie-chan, I think this wound might be deeper than you assumed. Do you require a bandage, or further healing? I have both within reach -”, she said as she was reaching for her stash of offense and healing items for a Peach Seed and ice pack.

“You see, I have this all the time with me.” Naoto pointed at the duffel bag.
