🖊 PICK ANY OF EM!!!! I want kr oc lore
FINALLY FREE OF WORK AND ROUTINE!!! NYELLO!!!! I posted abt Chroma today, sooo what if I talk abt not only her, but also others from the Cityscape setting, one OC for each major faction? :3c
In short, the Cityscape is a D&D-esque setting for modern magic vibes; a melting pot city of old and new, magic divine and arcane, mortals and Others following their steps.
Chroma Véos, the Lightborn Warlock, was once the heir of a failing magitech company before going missing and abandoning the old identity. Now she's one of few Warlocks of the Living Light, a new and growing source of Power that lives amidst neon and lightning, shining screens and the soul poured into them. Armed with a greatsword named Nova's Edge and her own forces of physicality and personality both, Chroma follows the lit signage guidance of her Patron to any end, often to the detriment of the faerie residing in the City.
Faerie mentioned, There is Mavron Delphin, the Winter's Bullet. Known in the city as a sharp-witted and styled defense lawyer, Mavron also moonlights as a antique-gunslinging enforcer for the Winter Court--or at least, an offshoot of Winter that has strayed into mortal realms. They were one of the first faerie crossed by Chroma, and as such look for vengeance against her, and to elimate the Living Light's influence in the City as the antihesis to the old magic of fae. However, the Light isn't the only enemy of the fae courts.
The Divine have their place too, many a god and pantheon in people's homes, but other gods are found within the City itself. The Fox King, God of Graffiti, for example. Most people these days assume he's just a leader of a gang of haughty defacers, that it's a title passed between leaders, but those older residents know he's been a fixture of the city much longer. Seemingly a minor god of artists and the lost on the City streets, the Fox King grants protection for vulnerable souls who need it under marked murals and missed alleyways. He and his clerics keep many of the streets a peaceful place, only butting heads with other factions when they cause trouble.
And who loves trouble more than devils? Or so learns Benedetta, Hell's Intern. Originally a very frustrated office worker, Bennie was offered to be the insider on a lucrative scam against her employers. Little did she know, however, that the job was being run by the Crimson, a devil-ran mafia almost as old and established as the City walls, and that they found her very useful, bringing her into the fold as a records-keeper. It's not all bad; they pay much better than her prior job, the magic powers are a new fun addition, as is the power trip of having imp underlings, but Bennie does have to wonder for her mortal soul.
Last but certainly not least, there are those who are separate from the major factions, such as Alchemy, a well-known DJ and music producer on the underground club circuits. Completely and purposefully oblivious to the warring factions, Alchemy just wants to serve the people and the City itself with the oldest magic known to mortals; music and emotion. Hoping to transmute hope and life into sound and back again is all he wants, and with an amount of stupid luck, is all she really gets. (bonus: regretfully Alchemy is one of few Cityscape OCs I've yet to give an epitaph. I need to fix this eventually.)
Other epitaphed characters include: The Iridescent Idol, The Angel of Archon's Alley, Hell's Tailor, and the Shadesprinter
