New oc!!! Scrapbulk daughter although her spark sire is mix, she’s more or less a sister to Beetle! She had an actual name, at one point, but Bulkhead forgot it.. now it’s just Princess.
Also!!! A Specter + a bunch of Beetles! All from memory, featuring human versions + the human friend he has that I designed randomly the other day. The thing on his chin was supposed to be hair but I later decided was a birth mark! :) can you tell I wasn’t in the mood to draw The Other Eye
Okay they’re unnamed as of now, but this is Legacy’s sparkling, as talked about in here! Yes those r eyes on his shoulders 💖💖💖
[EDIT: update!!! His name is now Water Bug <3 it’s what Beetle calls him, anyway <3]
His carrier is Legacy, his sire is an unknown Autobot, and his honorary sire is Waspie. Like the other post talking about Legacy’s story, this one is going to go into discussions of the following: talk of systematic + child abuse, unwanted/forced pregnancy, talk about sa/noncon, AND talk of mental illness & postpartum depression, child neglect, attempted child murder, as well as (polite) kidnapping. Tread with care~
One thing to note about this currently unnamed child is that he looks a lot like his sire. Like, enough so that Legacy gets viscerally triggered and uncomfortable from looking at his face. She must’ve expected something else from becoming a mother, cuz what she got is something she cannot handle. Even with her creators’ (Megatron & Lugnut) support, even with Waspie always by her side. Even with being reunited with her lost sibling Kaze, and making new relationships with others in her timeline and the timeline connected to it.
Even with all her support systems in place, she can’t do it. She can’t handle looking at him, at his face, into those vibrant blue eyes that remind her so explicitly of her rapist.
Very quickly it was clear to her support group that, since the child was born, her mental health plummeted. Her system split into hazy subsystems, Lorry, the primary host for most the duration of the gestation, fractured into several conflicting selves. Postpartum depression and psychosis were easy to diagnose, but not so easy to manage. A wake up call happened when Legacy broke down, and tried to kill her sparkling, Megatron intervening before his daughter could successfully squash the little thing in her massive servos.
Waspie was the ever loyal partner and caretaker, and did her damn best to keep Legacy cared for, as well as the sparkling who, even so young, dwarfed Waspie in size. Because of this, tho, she wasn’t able to care for her own son on her own, needing the help of others to move him or manage him properly.
One day, Waspie made her daily rounds of securing the premises, her elite guard training and very active sire coding pushing her to do so consistently. Every entrance and exit was checked, every possible breach in containment that could give way to danger to her mate or her child. When she returned, her son was missing. Legacy sat on her berth, wearing that strange, empty expression, and her son was missing.
Now I must mention that the two timelines, the Decepticon!Wasp timeline, and the Autobot!Wasp timeline, are connected. Distinct and separated in how their events play out, but connected. Kaze, when he escaped the Autobots, had actually fallen into a rift, only to be “rescued” by Lockdown. But these rifts are erratic, and unpredictable. Information is shared between timelines very sparingly, neither side having a complete picture. (The mech with the most complete of pictures is Fire Bug but that’s only because they’re very autistic about learning Everything About the Timelines.)
So even tho there was a way for information to be found, it definitely took.. a while. For any of the bots affected to find out what happened to the newspark. And, what happened, was a polite kidnapping by none other than Rhinoceros Beetle!
I have many normal thoughts about Beetle being the.. self appointed caretaker of the little one. Brief things you need to know about Beetle is he’s the son of Bulkhead and Mixmaster, is from the AW!Timeline, and is one of the oldest sparkling characters. Hornet & Waspie are the oldest, but Beetle was born like a little less than a year after her. Technically, there should have been a Beetle in the DW!Timeline, too, but Bulk miscarried from the stress of losing Bee! :)
Anyways. Beetle has his carrier coding more activated since reaching maturity, and has decided, since he’s older than Legacy, and she is too broken up to care for her kid, that he should step up and do so. The kiddo deserved someone who loved and cared about him, but could also handle how big he’d get full grown, and Beetle could do so with little issue. He decides he’s the honorary carrier of the newspark, and will watch after him until his actually carrier got her shit together.
Also Legacy let Beetle take her kid. She was near his cradle, and talked to Beetle softly. “You’d care for him, like I couldn’t?” She asks, voice brittle, unlike her usual enthusiasm and vibrancy. Beetle nods, tense, “I’d love him like he’s my own son.” She nods, waving a servo dismissively, “alright. I don’t really wanna see him again, anyway..” and she watches as he scoops the little one into secure arms, his engines rumbling to soothe the confused chitters, and he leaves.
Beetle knew what it felt like to be a child unloved. He wouldn’t wish that on anyone. It wasn’t the kids fault he existed, it wasn’t his fault he wore the face of the mech who hurt Legacy. He didn’t ask for any of this. Neither of them did.
