Boris is the god of giving and taking, and resides in the area of ScaleHouse near the spire
Boris is based on the Ouroboros from mythology, this was chosen for its cyclical nature. Bur specifically the idea of "you get what you give and selfishly taking more leaves you with less in total."
His role as a god follows the symbolism of an ouroboros spitting out parts of its tail, or letting itself grow further without consuming more. Boris weighs your actions, how much you have contributed to the world and how much you have taken.

This why we used scale and court system imagery! After Boris determines your balance, they will offer you ideas on how to level things out. They are not meant to condemn, only to inform and manage. But ofcourse this idea of being 'deemed a bad individual' is great fuel to the fire of Inspekat’s apocalypse plan.
When the 'King letters' are sent, Boris receives a massive influx of letters form the people of the Grove to their courthouse. Mail piles up, asking about the morals of their gods, or demanding for King to be found and have her soul weighed, its a chaotic mess.
And Boris wants to sort everything out in his own, he doesn't want to burden any of his followers with the task he was brought to godhood to do. Even as the letters and requests pile up and clog his domain.
Why does this letter just ask "is it acceptable to not eat the crust of a sandwich?"

Every time I see personified object characters (like in rubber hose cartoons) I remember a pair of ocs I made after smth silly that happened in 2017 (I can’t remember exactly off the top of my head but I think it was a friend who drew a candle that looked like a piece of chalk lol)
And I made these guys! Obviously this is from memory but I still have all of the original stuff I’ve done for them (tho that isn’t really a lot lol)
They never really had actual names (I always just called them the chalk and the chalkboard) but for some reason I wanna call the chalkboard Boris and the chalk Ivan <3

I'm kind of proud, though Boris turned out better than Davin, but oh well, practice makes perfect. The line-art is slightly weird too, idk why.
They’re fighting over politics and problems, It’s a practice for my future webcomic, I’m still figuring out how to put things in order, and the coloring.
I’ll get it eventually.
I’ll write more about the webcomic later on, not today or anytime soon. I need to finish things in my personal life and my school, and then I can start the webcomic properly.
Boris is the one with the silver hair, and Gavin is the one with the green hair.
