Has Edix ever tried to get Jacob to eat any pastries?(if he has access to any) Because I too have a major sweet tooth and I know for a fact if my giant cat captor was waving a pastry in my face, no matter how much I hate them I'm going to munch on that

Jacob does not try anything the first time voluntarily, so Edix would have to get a swipe of cream or frosting or something on his finger first and wait until Jacob is mid-protest before smearing it across his open mouth to taste.

Like those videos of feral kittens in their shelter cage as the tech approaches, hissing up a storm when the tech approaches, only to be silenced in an instant when a glob of wet food gets spooned in their baby mouths.

Instead of shaking a bag of treats Edix shakes a bag of donut holes and suddenly Jacob appears behind the corner

No but he has flipped an empty glass beaker over him like a bug under a cup

You know how we all just change clothes in front of our pets without batting an eye because they're, ya know, pets? Has edix done that and is jacob scarred for life because of it?

God I don't remember if this was an art WIP or a drabble WIP I had literally years ago when I first wrote that sequel, but it did involve Edix taking his shirt off in front of Jacob for whatever reason and Jacob went into bi panic at the sight

If it's okay to answer, how does Venandi Jacob and Human Edix's relationship work? What prompts Jacob to take Edix if this is a bizarre pet-owner relationship? Does Jacob view Edix as some cute, albeit feral, creature? How chaotic is Edix as a human during the Venandi invasion?

Their relationship in the swap!AU is nothing like their canon one, unfortunately........well, Jacob is still kind of afraid of Edix, tbh-

Jacob took Edix as a spur of the moment decision in order to save him from being captured and/or killed by other Venandi, since they had formed a very shaky mutual trust between each other. Edix worked as a flora curator in one of the large downtown museums and was sheltering inside during the invasion, and Jacob's tasks include gathering and documenting about different species's arts/humanities.

He does still think Edix is pretty cute. How could he not with something so tiny like that?? But Edix has RBF even in the best of moods and now that he's actively pissed at Jacob, the poor cat-twink is not in for a good time. He wants Edix to like him, or at least understand that this was a life-or-death situation and he means no harm, but this lil dude is still pretty intimidating even at 5 inches tall.

Edix isn't chaotic, but he's someone who will go down swinging. He has no problem letting his displeasure at Jacob be known and act accordingly, though usually he's willing to bid his time. There are moments when Jacob is just so pathetically hurt or scared by Edix's snapping that he can't help but feel a tiny bit bad for actions. Stupid alien having the saddest, wettest, puppy dog eyes he's ever seen in his life.

does edix find it adorable when Jacob speaks Venandix to him? does it mean jacob understands few of the commands edix says to him?

Jacob doesn't speak Venandix, he refuses to have any kind of conversation with Edix unless it's on his terms. He doesn't fully understand the literal meaning of the words/phases he can pick up on, but he generally understands the context. Like if Edix says the same word while pushing food towards him, he knows that word probably means "food" or "eat" or something.
