What type of friend are they? What are they like in a relationship?
I'll do one for all my current DA WIPS.
Journey Hawke (Open Road): She's the mom friend. If you need someone to organize your bachelor party, she's the one who's going to make sure everyone has a great time. She tends to hover a little too much sometimes and has trouble with the extent to which she gets emotionally invested in situations, but ultimately she finds fulfillment and satisfaction in taking care of the people she loves.
In a relationship, her primary love language is acts of service. She's not always the best at juggling her responsibilities, but she tries her best to make time to ensure her lover feels cared for.
Solona Amell (I Will See the Stars, Your Arms Feel Like Home, Poppies In Her Eyes): In both Inquisitor and Modern AUs, she's generally a pretty prickly person. She's moody, easily irritated, and doesn't trust easily. When she does consider you a friend though, she's in your corner for good. She doesn't judge, because chances are she's either fucked up worse than you or can see herself in a situation where she would probably have done the same thing. She's the friend that definitely knows how to get rid of a dead body, and if you say the word, she will come over at 3am and help you clean up the mess you got yourself into. She'll probably complain and shit talk you the whole time, but her lips are sealed and she'll take that secret with her to the grave.
Unfortunately, she's really bad at relationships. She has tragically poor impulse control and feels all of her emotions at 120% all the time, so she has a tendency to spiral out of control when domestic problems turn south. She has a tendency to run from her emotions (and the people causing them), so she gets really cagey when relationship problems arise. Her love language is quality time. She won't ever remember your birthday, but if she loves you, she will routinely make time in her life for you and do her best to honor those commitments.
Rylee Hawke (Your Arms Feel Like Home, Poppies In Her Eyes): Much like Solona, Rylee can be prickly and difficult to like. She's someone that had to grow up way too quickly, and she's learned to be ironclad with her boundaries in order to fend off the inevitable burnout. She's fiercely loyal to her chosen family though, and will go through pretty much any lengths to protect the people she considers home. If she doesn't like you, but someone she loves likes you, she will at minimum put forth an effort to try to figure out what they see in you.
In a relationship, she has a tendency to err on the side of tough love. She's had to learn a lot of lessons in her life the hard way and doesn't always remember how cushion an emotional blow in time to keep from hurting someone's feelings. Her love languages are quality time and acts of service. She'll insult you to your face, she will rarely if ever tell you she loves you, but if you're sick she will show up unannounced to clean your house top to bottom and make sure you're fed and have your meds.
Adrestia Tabris (The Seventh Circle): for the vast majority of people, Adrestia is the fair weather friend. She's got a lot of shit going on at home, and she's mostly just here for a good time. She grew up shouldering a lot of family obligations and being pulled in a lot of different directions, so any situation that starts to look like it's headed that way immediately makes her want to bail.
Her love languages are touch and words of affirmation. She's very touchy even with her friends (hugs, casually holding hands, friendly shoulder bumping, etc.) and given the consent she doesn't shy away from public displays of affection with her lovers. Just don't ask her to water your plants, because they will die.
