The Historic Marsh-Felch Quarry
Very excited to share this one! This is the Historic Marsh-Felch Quarry in Garden Park, Colorado! These Morrison Formation excavations in 1877 led to the discovery of numerous dinosaur species including a new member of the genus Stegosaurus, a critter coined S. stenops!

so i already posted elio and kale, so heres another “demi god” his name is marsh and he controls water! so if he goes into a body of water his body can just disappear into it! he lives in a cave sometimes with fish friends and was in love with kale < the moon god, but has turned bitter towards him now
Today in lecture we learned about the “Great Dinosaur Rush” of the American West from 1877-1892. It starred two guys named O.C. Marsh and E.D. Cope. They hated each other and competed to see who could discover the most new dinosaurs, which led to wacky hijinks™
They put spies on each other’s teams to lead them in the wrong direction and gather intel
They dug on each others’ private property
They trash-talked in magazines and refused to acknowledge the legitimacy of the other’s findings
They had rock fights
They blew up fossils with dynamite to keep the other person from getting them
All this got the Rush to be nicknamed “The Bone Wars”
Cope said that when they died he wanted their brains to be taken out and measured to see who was the smartest
And yet together they discovered over 140 new species of dinosaurs
And so long story short I want a mutual-pining enemies-to-lovers story starring these two gay old west scientists please
its just a matter of time before we learn how to fly!
