“Hunk we need to head back” Schwartz has to jog to keep stride with Hunk . the walls and floor are slick with blood and viscera, it takes great effort not to slip.“ We need to get out of here and call for backup.we are in way over our heads!” “dont you think i know that?” Hunk hisses “we cant go back, so we just gotta keep moving forwa-”. He stops dead in his tracks, Schwartz only narrowly avoiding ploughing into him “do you hear that?” they listen for a moment, the faintest sound echoing up the filthy hallway “gunshots?” in an instant theyre sprinting, thoughts of retreat pushed from their minds. They hear voices, maybe a dozen, screaming in panic at the end of the hall. They burst through the double doors, shouldering them as wide as possible expecting a flood of survivors or a hoard of infected and yet.

A lone woman stands in the center of what looks like the structures main reception. What was once blue marble inlay with gold had become enrobed in blood. Dozens of bodies lie on the floor, some still breathing their last. The woman hardly reacts as they shine their light on her “i had to do it you know?” She speaks like she hasnt used her voice in months, raspy and weak “ they begged me. ‘Dont let him take us, dont let us become one of them” she scratches at her scalp, ratty blond hair falling away between bloody fingernails 

“Ma’am please.” Hunk tries “We’re with Umbrella Security Service. We’re here to help.” He motions to schwartz to take her weapon. He complies, taking slow steps foward so as not to startle her. “I dint have a choice!” She whips around, gun flailing wildly, pointing at them both. Schwartz falters, readying his own weapon “She told me you would come. She told me to hold on, not to be afraid.” Her face was a horror story: Her cheek was torn, shredded by what looked like claw marks. inside dozens of razor teeth began to protrude from all angles. She stared right past them, suddenly enraptured by something they couldn't see. Caught in the flashlight, her cloudy eyes sparkled like diamonds. “Ma’am, you're injured, let us help you.” Hunk tries again, stepping forward himself this time. She was clearly infected with something. But it was unlike t-virus creatures to still be...aware when they got to this stage. Maybe she could still be useful, tell them what happened. Before hunk put a bullet in her, that is. 

“Anatoliy…” She grins “ I missed you. “ Despite her smile, the woman weeps, tears pouring down her face as she finally “Shepherd…we’re all going to burn for what we did to you.” she raised a gun to her temple “wait!” the woman pulled the trigger faster than they could move. The contents of her head splattered wetly as she tumbled to the ground , just another body amongst dozens of others “ what the fuck?!” Schwartz is struck silent, face pale and eyes wide as he stared at her bleeding corpse.
