HATCHETFIELD TAROT: OC EDITION

If you haven't noticed by now, my favorite kind of ocs to make are Women With Problems(tm) and BOY has Winnie Stone had her fair share. She's an accountant who became business associates with her old college "chum" (read: person she never stopped yearning for) and manages the financial operations of his physical therapy practice. When Allan (faceclaim for him is River Butcher!) opens up one of those locations in Clivesdale, he and Winnie start their affair. The distance from Hatchetfield justifies it for them, it feels "more okay" that way. Level of coping is insane.
Winnie did love Bill, but their communication styles were just too different. Couldn't have a healthy confrontation to save their lives, always very passive aggressive. Unideal all around. She wants to make their arrangement after the divorce work, keep things civil and open in communication. Bill makes it very hard to do that. He's still bitter and angry over the whole thing, which is 100% valid! What she did was fucked up. But when both just sit there in their hurt feelings they lose sight of what Alice needs.
Her relationship with Alice is interesting. She really does go opposite direction of Bill and... doesn't necessarily let Alice do anything she wants, but she knows she's going to be a teen who does teen things, so she'll let Deb sleep over and blaze up in the backyard. In turn, though, Winnie feels less emotionally accessible to Alice. Winnie really loves her career, she loves that she's finally with Allan, and so Alice isn't her top focus. Sure, she always tells Alice she's there for her if she needs advice, if she's having a bad day and needs a shoulder to cry on, etc. Alice is hesitant to take her up on that. For all this divorce has caused her strife, there's still the little girl within that needs to please her parents-- and so she doesn't want to disturb her mom's peace.
Alice's feelings on Allan are super complicated, too. On the one hand, she's known him since before he was Allan, but still openly queer. This was a big factor in her understanding her own sexuality and feeling comfortable enough to come out to her folks. But on the other, like. He was one of the parties responsible for blowing up her parent's marriage and thus her home life lol.
Winnie's an interesting individual. Always has a blunt opinion to give, but always withholding honesty and truths about herself that could render her vulnerable. Wants her daughter to be free and happy, but hasn't yet struck that balance to make it happen. She's a cynic with hidden hope and invisible walls in the form of a stone-hardened face that fears revealing Want.
