The Human Roach
All's Well That Ends Well AU
Uzi, on occasion, goes out into the standing ruins of the old city that surrounds Outpost3 to scavenge by herself. Just a little alone time to clear her head and to meditate on all that has happened in the past months. Just her, the rotting buildings, the whispering winds and the flakes of snow it carries. Though, with the defeat of the Solver and the pacification of the disassembly drones (At least in the region her and the other colonies inhabited) more and more drones have been venturing out into the corpse of the city to recover useful materials humanity left behind in their untimely deaths. Resulting in Uzi running into more people than she liked and her usual spots being picked clean. Forcing her to travel out farther to be alone and for worthwhile finds but luckily, Uzi has wings.
After nearly an hour of flying, Uzi finds herself upon the very edge of the cityscape. Beyond is the husk of a forest, slowly stirring back to life with the stabilization and calming of Copper9's atmosphere.
Landing with a light thud, in the center of the street. She takes a quick glance at her surroundings. Busted cars, decaying buildings of various types; apartments and storefronts, and various litter scattered across the streets along with skeletal remains. It all looked completely untouched since the core collapse. Uzi smiled, adjusting her large backpack, she set off towards the nearest store.
She spends the better part of the day ripping through the various stores that line the street. Occasionally, taking small snack breaks or to simply take a moment to shatter windows or use the solver to overturn cars just for funsies. She managed to accumulate a rather impressive haul, honestly one of the best she managed to collect.
Packed into her bat themed backpack are various knicknacks she found entertaining, as well as a few for N and a cat toy or two for V. Books of dark and unsettling themes she thought she or her mother would find interesting as well as her choice in manga. Of course, occupying most of the space in her bag are computer parts, some tools and machine parts she and her father would be happy to tinker with.
Though, the only issue with having a pack full of good loot is that's when it's at its heaviest. Shifting the weight and muttering obscenities under her breath, she began to wonder how she's going to make it back in time. Flying with be difficult and walking will take way too long. She ponders for a moment before just deciding to call her boyfriend to come and help her bring all this stuff back.
Pulling up her internal messaging system, she selects N's profile and began typing out-
CLANG
Uzi freezes at the sudden noise, closing out the messaging system she turns towards the approximate origin of the sound. It couldn't be the winds; it died down minutes ago. She slipped her pack from her back and onto the ground with a thud. She let out a slow exhale of warm exhaust. Realistically, she had nothing to worry about. She's a solver drone and the main host of the Solver, itself. God of the Universe, nothing could hold a candle to her.
"Who's There!" She threw out the classic phrase.
It could be one of the few animals that survived the core collapse, another drone or even a disassembly drone. According to the chat logs in the drop pod's files, there are multiple over squads of disassembly drones across the planet. Doesn't matter, whoever they are, Uzi could deal with them. She dealt with a lot worse.
Footsteps echoed out from an abandoned storefront, and a gloved hands appeared and gripped the doorframe. Uzi balled her hand into a fist, staring hard at the first sight of the unknown person, anticipation gnawing at her core.
"Come on!" She yelled, "Stop the dramatics and come out!"
The gloved hand is retracted back, a voice rings out, "Are you going to hurt me?"
They're afraid, Uzi acknowledged. She unfurls her hand, "No, I'm not. Not unless you try anything clever."
The unknown person doesn't answer back instead they move into full view. They're tall, taller than a worker drone but shorter than a disassembly drone. Dressed in a hazmat suit with the left sleeve missing, revealing a frostbitten human arm. The suit's glass visor cracked with a cloudy eye gazing out from behind.
Uzi immediately throws her hand up, the solver flickering to life between her fingers. Her eyes hollow out in shock, "You're human...YOU'RE HUMAN!"
The human flinches, shuffling backwards, "You said you weren't going to hurt me."
"I thought you were a drone! Not a human!" She bared her fangs, "What are you doing here!? Wait, no...How the hell did you survive the core collapse!?"
The human stepped forward, "I didn't."
The Human fall onto all fours, knees snapping back into an unnatural position as they push themselves forwards, skittering towards Uzi.
"OH SHIT!" Uzi cried out at the horror movie scene playing out before her. Fully activating her solver, reaching out to stop the weird zombie man from reaching her. Much to her terror, an error message popped up on her HUD.

"Wait, wha-"
The human slammed into her hard, sending her skidding across the ground. Knocked silly, her sensors undergoing a forced recalibration from the impact. Uzi lets out a groan as the human then leaps onto her, drawing back their arm before slamming their fist into her visor, shattering it. The human goes for another strike, but a tendril erupts from Uzi's back and whips the human off of her. Sending them flying into car, the impact crumpling it.
The cracks in her visors healing, two more tendrils sprout from her back and with them Uzi picks herself up. A mad smile creeps itself across her face, wide and toothy. The solver symbol manifesting across her now heal visor, as her wings and tail appear too.
"Oh, you done fucked up now Roach Man." She giggles, "I am GOD!"
"Wait, wha-" Was all the Roach could get out before Uzi invoked the power of the solver, crumpling the car around him like an iron cocoon. Roach tried to scream but they couldn't breathe, they couldn't move.
Uzi then hurled the car down the desolate street, the hunk of metal crashing into a decrepit building which promptly collapsed. The God of Copper9 stood there for a moment, waiting for the Roach to rise out of the rubble...but the human didn't. Satified with the destruction she has wrought upon that poor bastard, Uzi slipped out her solver mode.
"Ya get whatcha fucking deserve!" She shouted at the pile of rubble.
With a sigh, she turns her attention back to the more important task of transporting all of her loot back to the colony.
...
Long after Uzi left, there is a stirring beneath the rubble. A hand breaches, grasping onto the crumbled brick work as Roach hauls themselves out from the wreckage. They let out a gasp, their breathing wretched and labored. Their hazmat suit is in ruins, nothing but tatters. Same for their body, skin torn revealing raw muscle, limbs missing and their bones crushed but yet they still live.
Slowly, their broke body begins to mend but they pay no mind to this. Instead, they roll over onto their back and place their working hand over their heart. There is a beat, but it isn't human, more akin to the steady thrum of a drone core.
Roach's mind is racing. What did that drone mean by "I am God". They were a solver drones, yes, but they couldn't be the main host...could they?
Picking themselves up from the rubble, one thought goes through their mind, "I have to get to cabin fever."
