She's a really nice woman who has a passion for cooking. She finds pleasure in the process of cooking and treating her guests to delicious "unusual" dishes. Well, maybe with a little touch of craziness, but isn't it inherent in all undead??

A few HC:

Tanya: cis female / she/her / sub in denial

Ilys: non-binary (gender-fluid)/ they/them / dom-leaning, masoch*_st switch

They are wearing a double collar thingy - not even sure this exists IRL but hey, that's the beauty of fantasy right? (¯▿¯) It's supposed to be a classic genuine leather collar on one hand (around Tanya's neck), and an electric collar on one the other (Ilys' neck) - nothing too painful, just a little electroshock here and there if they pull too hard on it. It's enough to hum... keep them going and make their wings flap like crazy, I guess.

It's been fun to draw this 2 and figure out their dynamic!

I am so happy with how this portrait of my OC Tanya came out! I really wanted to do a new portrait with skulls and flower elements and even though the hydrangeas could have been a bit more « detailed », I am still liking the overall vibes of this piece.

I have been struck with some weird art block for about a week, not being able to finish a real piece or anything… But I think I managed to get out of that momentarily art slump now ☺️And I am finally back with a more familiar color palette 💜

She is a hoodoo witch and also has healing abilities, just like Lucy - they met at school since they took the same major, and became best friends since

Their dynamic ? Let’s say that they are both quite smart, but when you put them together, they act like the dumbest people you know   ⊂(￣▽￣)⊃

works as a head healer (aka doctor) in a research department along with Lucy and Konrad - she specializes in humans and most “humanoids” (she can take care of werewolves for instance, but some species, such as mermaids, require very specific knowledges)

Big sister vibes, very energetic, sometimes likes to tease people (it's her way of showing her affection)

Her real name is Wideline and she HATES it so she goes by Tanya

Will probably have some kind of cute and weird familiar, like a spirit or a shrunken head

Not gonna lie, it was kinda hard to draw a black female character in a manga/anime style, because there still aren’t many references. Black characters in that style either look like caricatures (which is direspectful AF), or like Caucasians with a darker skin tone, which isn't good enough in my opinion.

I am still not completely satisfied with it and I am still learning ! This drawing is a bit old (march 2020) so hopefully I’ve improved since then. If you are a black artist and have some tips and/or feedback, please let me know  (o´▽`o)ﾉ
