tychus deadlift 😳
two-wrench method
Young Tychus in average dog priest kid clothes ^_^ Layering is VERY popular in many priest cultures, so even kids’ clothes often have at least two layers. More than three is not common in kids’ clothing though, because it impedes movement and is difficult to get on. Since kids don’t get opposable thumbs til they “grow in” during puberty, they rely pretty heavily on their parents to dress them; for convenience’s sake, most parents don’t bother to extend their morning routine by adding extra layers. Three or more layers and extra accessories are usually reserved for special events and celebrations, or until the child begins to transition to bipedalism and can begin to grip objects on their own.
Tychus prefers athletic wear, since she spends a lot of time running around with her friends and playing sports. The bracelets she wears are from friends (made by elder siblings who indulged their younger ones). Her second set of ears is tied back to keep them from her face, though this impedes her hearing a bit.
uhhhh I was harassing a friend earlier by talking about worldbuilding for my dog priest species and ended up drawing 3 of them as kids. This was mostly an excuse to show the size disparity between the three but also ended up showing off their coat colors. Tychus and Minka grew up in the same area of their home planet so they have similar patterns, while Daemos is from a population on a different planet. Also as a note, dog priests are born quadrupedal and usually transition to bipedal during puberty ^_^ so the other drawings in the tags of these characters will look different, as I usually draw them as adults. In this drawing, they’re all about 9 years old.
From left to right: Tychus is much larger than most other priests, standing at about 8′ as an adult. She also has hyperdontia, a not-uncommon condition among priests. Her coat color is a mix of a rare and a common one: common point leaves her extremity markings solid instead of speckled, and a rare speckle pattern dots the rest of her body and inverts her colors (common point is dark at extremities instead of light). Daemos is smaller than most priests, standing at only about 6′5″ as an adult. He has a flattened muzzle compared to most, and two continually-growing horns protrude from his forehead. He has the most common coat color, a simple point that is dark brown at the extremities. Minka is an extremely average priest by all accounts, having no underlying conditions like many other priests do. His coat color is rare though: a speckled point where extremity markings are characterized by groups of spots instead of a solid, unbroken fade, as well as an inversion of the usual light-to-dark fade that's common in most other patterns.
Miss Tychus... why are you so Huge
