Ok but Riley… is the sort of girl who could fit with anyone (almost). She’s pragmatic, practical, focused and determined, but not stiff or stuffy. Her main shortcomings are usually overextending herself or not addressing any of her internal issues. She’s quick to give help but not apt to ask for it. She can be playful with the right people, but not loudly so. (You won’t catch her screaming playing tag in public with her boyfriend unless it’s like,, a work-sanctioned outting, but she’ll happily run through the sprinklers dancing and screaming in the privacy of their own backyard, if that makes sense.) So she can add the right amount of playfulness to the serious characters, or keep the overly-playful ones in check by knowing where her comfort zones are.

Unlike Sky who’s a workaholic to bury her feelings but doesn’t know where her true passions lie, Riley is a workaholic because she is passionate and finds a lot of joy in doing what she’s meant to creatively. Sky creates to expresses her feelings, as an outlet to who she really is. Riley creates because she doesn’t know anything else and wouldn’t want to separate her being from it.

It’s been fun to think of the difference, where Riles is the OC I’ve had a long time across fandoms yet didn’t actually fit into LADS (where Sky and Star became two halves of a self-insert, each representing different parts and extremes of me), Riley is entirely separate from me and I kind of treat her like her own entity. I don’t think, “what would I do here?” I look objectively at the story and piece together what would make Riley make that decision in the moment.

This is doing things to me.

Skyvier in their happily ever after era. They’re no longer hunters. Sky becomes a designer and works for a family business. Xavier writes and takes up freelance work, occasionally working in businesses around town. It reminds them of their first 21 Days. They are building a garden that’s exploding with more than they know what to do with. They give generous amounts to their neighbors. They take turns cooking. Xavier has gotten better. Sky happily does the laundry as long as she never has to sweep. They bake on the weekends and continue to build their home gym, mostly for Sky. There’s a bean bag in the gym, mostly for Xavier. Vacations are everywhere and anywhere, quieter places, where they can rest and explore. Children come much later. Peyton and Dawn come close together. Peyton is a good mix of both parents but takes up more music than his father, Dawn is just like her father in countenance, but more artistic like her mother. Then a few years down the line Celeste comes as a welcome shock. Celeste is quiet a few years, but becomes a rambunctious burst of light in the lives of those around her. You could not contain her if you tried, and you wouldn’t want to. They take brave family vacations, and uncle Jeremiah occasionally babysits to let the parents escape for alone time. The children won’t know about their Philosian heritage until they’re old enough to understand, and Xavier doesn’t mind it this way. He’s grateful his children won’t have to grow up the way he did, instead being free to have a real childhood, with no concern to royal conduct, or worry about weights too big for their arms to bear. They are happy, and they are loved wherever they go.

THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR ASKING. A lot of this stuff I hadn’t thought of for Sky and Star al;skfjs I focused mostly on the girls themselves rather than their ships.

This’ll kinda be a master post about the sisters’ if anyone would like to know more about my LADS oc’s!

Song:

Sky: Sky has a whole playlist, the first song on it is actually “Strangers” by Kenya Grace. I think when I first started playing the game, a lot of the LI’s seem really close…then distant with her. I think it would drive her crazy at first, so I started associated that song with her in early 2024! For SkyVier, their song has always been “The Stars” by Chelsea Cutler

Star: A couple of them: “Dance the Night” to speak to her love of dancing, Dua Lipa, “Too Good to Be True” by Kacey Musgraves for her insecurities, and “Boy Who Has Everything” by Annika Bennett for some pre-romance thoughts about her and Zayne.

Colors:

Sky: Green. And since Xavier is purple, I freaked out when he got that ugly purple and green sweater. It’s themmmmmm!

Star: Ice blue

Sights:

Sky: Starry motifs, tulips, plants, mountain cabins, starry nights under an open sky, a castle far in the distance, flower fields, night market festival with lots of food stands, brush strokes, a box of letters, palm tress, cityscapes from a distance

Star: Also stars, silver jewelry, luxury brands, hiking trails, catching the early morning surf, sunrises, ocean waves, nightclub scene, dense city interiors, minimalism designs

Vibes:

Sky: Cozy, workaholic, training mats, gym vibes, quiet train rides, lots of green

Star: Chaotic, shopaholic, play hard, trendy, fruit

Animals:

Sky is a cat, Star is a Shiba Inu

How they act when they’re drunk?

Sky: ….Well she’s just me so. Like, 1-2 glasses of wine and she’s gone. She does way better with other alcohol. I can handle like 2-3 vodka sodas and feel fine. I have done shots of tequila… a little gin cocktail, I love an Old Fashioned or a Manhattan. I’m usually totally fine. BUT WINE… My friends have screenshots. I just get really happy and start texting everyone I know that I love them. I don’t usually throw myself around or dance crazy… I just get cuddly and happy and start babbling, not even about myself. I stay pretty aware though. Very rarely do I not remember, at least vaguely, what happened. I have never had a hangover, so I guess even when I’m drunk I still handle it ok. Sky would be similar… and maybe confess things to Xavier she wouldn’t normally. Not even “I’ve always loved you” stuff just silly things like how attractive he is LOLL. Xavier trusts her pretty well because she’s not dangerous when drunk, but he still likes to keep her all to himself when she’s tipsy. I also feel like she’d totally consent to some tipsy sexy times, like explicitly tell him beforehand, let’s get tipsy and have a good time. LOLLL. NOT LIKE IT HASN’T HAPPENED IN CANON ALREADY. I’M LOOKING AT YOU VALENTINE’S BANNER FEBRUARY 2024.

Star: Star gets flirty and loud, so loud… the type to dance on tabletops. And then she’ll pass out so hard. Alcohol makes her sleepy, eventually. So she has to time it when she’s getting drunk because otherwise she’ll wake up face first on someone’s floor.

How they celebrate their birthday:

This is a hc I’ve held on to for years –

In Sky, Star, and Caleb’s household, birthdays were a big thing. Handmade banners and decoration, each year more elaborate than the last as they got older. All their favorite foods, baskets of their favorite snacks. Dressing up, favorite locations. Even when they got older and college and work were issues where they weren’t home all day… They still make time to make sure they wake up to a nice surprise. Sky and Caleb sneaking into Star’s apartment to decorate for her 21st. Caleb and Star making Sky call in sick to take her to an amusement park and making her favorite dinner at home when Sky turned 23.

With the loss of Caleb, Sky takes even more responsibility to make it special for Star. Even when they live separately. Star doesn’t quite reciprocate to an extreme level the first time, but does her best. When she can make her own money, she buys Sky an expensive gift to repay her. Star would rather go places, do events, do a mini-trip, she wants to get out and explore for her birthday and be around more people. Regardless of their differences, they always want things to be special, and they never want to be alone. If they really can’t be together, they’ll try to have a long call and send flowers or make sure they still feel loved and remembered.

When Caleb comes back..Sky’s weary, but birthdays are the first piece of her letting him back into her life. She doesn’t want to see him but it feels wrong…without him. They try to make it a lot like how birthdays always were before. They all cry pretty hard.

Pet Peeves:

Sky: Sky doesn’t like loud chewers. The sound of snapping that people do when they’re trying to get someone’s attention or remember something. She knows it’s a stim for some but there’s some PTSD for her. Chairs not being put back in when people get up. People not replacing necessities like toilet paper or leaving empty cartons/containers. Talking over others.

Star: People who answer without reciprocating conversation - she knows her energy isn’t for anyone but it’s the “Hey how was your weekend!?” “Good.” “…….. Cool! Um, did you do anything fun?” “No.” “..Oh! That’s too bad. Did you at least rest?” “Yes.” “…..Ok! Well! Have a good one!” Type of conversations that make her want to crawl in a hole because she hates awkwardness. She also generally can’t stand bullies or Pick-Me’s. A bad DJ set can ruin her whole night. When the sweets look prettier than they taste.

What makes them smile:

Sky: A really bad joke, or bad pun. Good scents. The sound of the ocean. Good music. A friend’s laugh. Cat videos. Good typography. Artisan coffee, like single-origin, 180ºF, masterfully crafted, and carefully prepared not just something a teenage barista made on a timer.

Star: Dogs. Receiving a smile. Dancey, happy music. Honeydew anything. Receiving gifts. A good sweet treat. Finding something on sale or thrifting something exquisite. Perfect weather. When the surf looks good. A good wax on her board. When the self-tan comes out right.

What makes her cry:

Sky: A lot of things she won’t admit. Being reprimanded. Anytime she feels like a failure even if it’s not her fault. A nice birthday card. “Hey I was thinking of you” text messages. Being told she means a lot to someone or that she’s had a positive impact. Hearing her favorite tune at an amusement park. Hearing her favorite song at a concert. Video games, stories, movies, she’s an easy crier for those. Being angry or frustrated makes her cry especially when she feels unheard. One time she cried over wet socks. It’s especially bad during that time of month. Sky doesn’t like other people seeing her cry, especially Caleb and Star. Xavier becomes an exception, mostly because he ends up making her cry a lot because of the soft things he says, or she cries when he starts opening up to her more.

Star: Being alone or lonely, or realizing she’s going to be alone for a while. Sad music, ballads, unhappy endings. Rain, lighting, and thunder, altogether or separately. When her baking doesn’t turn out right. When people cancel plans. She might also cry over her insecurities, thinking she’s “too loud” for people, or “talks too much”, but only at night.
